Thanks. No, I didn't. I'm not obsessed with scores like some people are. Outfitter told me 160 ish. All I know is he will look beautiful on my wall. He's gonna make some of my whitetails looks small though.

Ok, posted a few pics on new thread. I hunted antelope a few years ago near Sheridan with Big buck outfitters. Got a nice one there. Yes, it is much flatter in that area. I flew into Billings Mt and drove to Wy. Good luck!

Just got back the other day from a Wyoming rifle mule deer/archery elk hunt. It was about an hour from Jackson Hole and another 3 hour horse ride from there. Hunt was high country from 7-10K feet. Got a beautiful mulie and missed a 6x6 bull. Tough hunt but had a blast. Here's a few pics.

I don't want to hijack Biz thread. I'.ll try to post pics seperate tomorrow. Yes, i got into town. Really nice. Million dollar cowboy bar was cool. Saddle seats get uncomfortable quick, especially when I just rode real horse for 3 hrs a day for 6 days straight.

Biz, I just got back a few days ago from a WYO rifle mule deer/archery elk hunt. I was about 1 hour from Jackson Hole. Shot a beautiful 4x4 with eyeguards and missed a 6x6 elk. Mulies have huge ears. Anything at or past his ears with good forks, shoot him. This was my first mulie. They are much bigger than whitetails. What will the terrain be like? We were in the high country approx 9k feet, all hills. I went out there with my 7mag at 2"high at 100. Oufitter advised a 100 yard zero because no flat shots. All up or down, which will make the shot shoot high. He was right on the money. Listen to your guide if he is good. Good luck.

Just FYI, Putnam County does have some giant bucks. I used to live and hunt there a lot. My dad found a giant 10 point dead, too rotten to tell how it died. I have seen some really big deer over the years over there. They just aren't dumb. '

Yes, totally unrealistic. I can't even stomach them anymore. Especially the whitetail shows. These unrealistic shows are a big reason why some people are totally obsessed with antler size. The only ones I watch now are the western hunts.

I have a friend that is in the club. Nice area, some big deer and bear. dues are $1500 ayear.

Hunted there a couple of times years ago. Very thick, with small trees. Tough to hang a stand. That's why I found a free standing tripod stand there. A friend of my shot a giant 14 pt non typical there about 15 yrs ago.

I know the feeling, It sucks. The only way I travel off the island now is either no later than 5 am or no earlier than 9 pm. Road work by the GW just makes it worse now.
