  1. That is my biggest fear also. I will love Gods country so much that I will leave NY behind forever. I am in no rush but would like to do it by 2022 , being employed with a job with only gives 3 week vacation in a yr I cant take too much time scouting. Short term I will apply for the PA lotto but will keep the plan in motion for some place west. I would prefer to bow hunt but given that I wont be able to go every yr will try my luck with Rifle for the first time around.

Question for G-Man What I have learnt is that it take 4-5 yrs for trees that have been cut and dropped to totally decompose in a swamp due to high moisture but if its dry and high that tree trunk will be there after 10 yrs also. So with all those trees you cut down, how long before they turn to mulch or your plan is just to create a thicket ?

  14. You sir are than on a totally different level than the newbie that I am. I dont even see many deer on stateland and i have worn out plenty of boots in the last decade.
  15. It must be nice to have access to land that holds such nice deer. Some of us dont have the access to fulfil that dream of chasing one specific deer.
  16. What I have observed is that deer tend to hit red clover mixes in spring summer and then favor white clover in fall and even dig it up from light snow.
