    Welcome to the site and there are no deer in Honeoye. They all migrated to Steuben County

    The regular season is buck only tag but valid state wide. The DMP are by region. The Bow/Muzzleloader tags are for those specific seasons and are valid statewide depending on area if you are using bow, crossbow or muzzleloader. Yes to crossbow hunt, one must purchase a muzzleloader tag.

    Just an inch extra around it and you will be fine. Few yrs ago I had a similar case and the meat in the injured area was all white. The rest of the muscle was fine.

    I usually dont worry about my stuff until I have the deer in hand and instead of flagging tape keep TP . Its biodegradable and comes in handy in emergencies

    I have only hunted for 20 years as I was a late starter. Never witnessed the excitement of a drive that you guys speak about, where deer run all day.

    As with any hunting scenario, its about placement. Yes Fixed heads will be better but I am sold on the spitfire. Even the truglo titanium blades bend when it hits bone. In the crossbow I have tried grimreaper carnifour and lost blades and deer. So i switched to NAP spitfires 125gn and if I do my part they do their job.

    @Nomad As others have already said, happens to all of us and those that say it doesnt are either lying or will lose one in the future.

    What kind of thermal are you guys using? Is it the leupold tracker. Have been thinking about it for a couple of yrs for the JIC scenario.
