    Smoke has been used and many bow hunter consistently do that in areas where the deer are used to wood burning smell. Imagine walking in an area that has never had any wood burning stoves or smoke smell. I am sure the deer will turn inside out. Best to always play the wind and minimize scent.

    Agreed, the same can be done with the hind quarters instead of sawing through the pelvis.

    For a newbie it was great. Certain things I didnt agree with like sawing through the bone but that is a personal preference as we age.

    4th yr and none touched everytime but then again the deer population is very low where I am at. Next yr going to try something different.

    Hope you recover soon. If possible get an oxygen saturation monitoring device. Monitor that to see if your oxygen in blood level drops below 93%.. Would suggest supplemental oxygen at that point

    I hate the creek bottom bowls/valleys. I can get deer pictures out of it but never a deer ...lol
