  1. Thanks for the help with Carlsons. It looks good on my wall for right now, but if I get tired of looking at it I’ll let you know Somebody is trying to sell one on muzzleloadingforum.com with just the 12ga barrel. https://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/threads/t-c-12-ga-new-englander.120108/
  2. I actually found a T/C modified choke for it today on EBay, and can confirm that the Winchester/Moss 500/Invector/etc. chokes do fit it.
  3. I have established that Remington chokes don’t fit (easily seen when I pulled the 1100 choke). The Remington is on the left, T/C on right. I’ll try the Winchester/Mossberg Choke tomorrow if I can find one.
  4. I don't think so Grampy. I know some makes/models are interchangeable, but I know that some have different size/length of threads. We have an 1100 at work, so I'm robbing a choke tube out of there. I think we have some Mossberg 500's as well, so I might try to borrow one from them and see if any of them work.
  5. I don't know if anyone has any experience with T/C screw in chokes, but the New Englander I got yesterday has a "T/C Arms" screw-in choke in it. I've looked everywhere, contacted T/C, TOTW, and several other places, and cannot find screw in chokes for this gun. However, I've read in a very few places that it might take Winchester/Mossberg/Browning (Invector) chokes. Does anyone know it these will fit? I can buy one, but I had to drop $15-20 on a choke that doesn't fit any guns that I own. Thanks!
  6. Missing from the listing is a full and face cord of wood. Mostly cherry, all hardwood.
  7. I'm very excited to now own my first muzzleloader. Granted, it's not new, but should fit the bill well. A friend of mine has had a T/C New Englander .50cal./12ga. combo for sale for a while, and I finally decided to jump into the game. I'm looking forward to getting some practice with it and taking it hunting in November!
  8. Agreed, I shot a doe several years ago, super loud "pop" on impact, and recovered the broken arrow with very little impact (never found the broadhead end. Long story short, saw that doe limping a little very soon after, and I'm quite certain she made a full recovery unless someone else got her along the way.
  9. Haha, that's an interesting trick. I did notice that the price of fireballs went up this month...supply and demand I guess.
  10. Was just thinking the same thing. We’re all glued to the thread and it will be a darn fork horn or something.
  11. Here is the updated listing with photos! https://www.auctionzip.com/Listings/3480768.html
  12. Trust me, I'll be ordering one soon Moving the stinking strap is the worst part of climbing.
  13. There are only a few in the same league as EVH.
  14. I've always run my strap through the loop, but I do tend to move trees often. The carabiner is a great idea though. I guess I should say, I hunt strictly from a climber and move the strap up with me as I go. I've always heard that one of the most dangerous parts of using a climber is the actually climbing itself.
  15. That is awesome! I will pick up a small caliber ML for the same purpose somewhere along the line. Glad to see you're having success with it!
  16. YES! YES! YES! Congratulations to both of you!
  17. I feel like this quote could come in handy for someone at some point in time...
