I wouldn't whine.

Sooner or later, Grampy, it will pass. Then these babies can whine about the next thing that's going to ruin the sport.

Keep us posted from Kentucky. Lucky s.o.b.!

Don't count your turkeys before they're fried. Bad ju-ju to tempt Murphy.

This thread is still going on? It's getting really retarded in here.

I tried Dowdle, too. I don't know why these places list guns they don't have.

LoL. I'm a lefty, too! I've just settled on shooting right handed guns, because lefties already usually not in stock. I've only ever owned 1 lefty rifle, & honestly it felt awkward. I get a little powder burn with my right handed Hawken, but I'm used to it

They didn't have any, when she actually went into her computer and looked. I may have a line on one in Washington state.

Thanks. I called them a few weeks ago, and the lady said that it's out of production, but not reflected on the site for some reason.

And let's not forget that the battle with technology includes crossbows. Right?

I'm looking for a Lyman deerstalker 50cal percussion, in STAINLESS. It's discontinued, and seems like they've vanished off the earth. Rarely do they come to auction on any of the online sites, & they sell instantly. This is a long shot, but any leads would be appreciated. I've got to get one!

Come on now, first crossbows in archery, now youths in the woods with guns, during regular season. What's next? It's bad enough that kids get first crack during the youth seasons. I mean, do we really want all these idiot kids out there slinging lead around at the deer we've been watching all season? We need to keep kids relegated to archery for the first few years. But only compounds & traditional, no crossbows. I mean, we don't want these kids killing deer, they need to struggle along for awhile. Give the marginal ones a chance to call it quits, before they get hooked by actually killing something, & crowd the woods even more. Opportunity? For kids? I think not. ????

22LR. 50cal muzzleloader. 12 gauge 3.5" with a bird barrel. -
My kid got this one today.

I like to cook them in a hot cast iron skillet with butter. Just gut them, cut off head & tail, rinse & pat dry. Melt butter in skillet. You want it hot, but not hot enough to scorch the butter. Lay the fish in the butter & cook it until the skin is crispy & the meat flakes off the bones with a fork. For thicker fish, cover the pan. Try to only flip it a couple times, or they start to fall apart. I season it with salt / pepper & lemon juice.

Last time my buddy Paul was here for the trout opener, he got really drunk. Like passed out & carried to bed, drunk. So I poured a pitcher of water on his crotch and put the covers over him. When he woke up in a soaked bed & wet clothes, we framed him for bed - wetting & rode him mercilessly all week. He hasn't been back!

He let this one go. You might recognize that spot, Larry. The boy's a pro!

Yes, not far downstream. About 1/2 mile.

Not giants, but perfect for eating. Jr was 1st on the board, as usual!
