  1. Thanks for the tip Dinsdale. I usually see troopers sitting at mile marker 48.5 (exit for James Baird state park) and just past Bulls Head rd going N/B.
  2. It's more like 2 hrs 20 mins door to door. I go rte 199 to Taconic sb.
  3. I know. Taconic closed. Rerouted to I84 then to 684 into the Hutchinson. Hutch closed SB at Mill rd in New Rochelle. Rerouted to I95 Finally on Northern State now. A 2 hr drive turned into 3.5. Really sucks . At least I wasn't driving.
  4. On way to LI. Taconic pkwy closed both ways in Dutchwss county at I84. Trees still down.
  5. About 12" in Germantown. Trees down along route 9 & 199.
  6. Good luck finding the buck today WNY. Hope you didn't get too much snow to cover up any blood trail.
  7. Snowing in Germantown since 1:30 pm http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g382/jmasiakos/c21b9fa6.mp4
  8. Can't wait till tommorrow. They are all gonna be out looking for food.
  9. After a long day on my stand 6:30am - 2:00 pm I'mnow having a cup of coffee and toasting my feet by the wood stove watching the snow come down.
  10. Ok now it's coming down hard. Time to call it a day
  11. Still sitting since 6:30 Am. No precip you'd think the deer would be moving before the snow comes. Saw a big doe 20 mins ago about 150 yds walking through corn Nothing else. At least there is a babbling brook behind me. Nice and peaceful.
  12. Your right. Hopefully she'll come back out and bring her boyfriend with her. Lol.
  13. Nothing here yet. Wind picked up a bit. I heard its on the way up here.
  14. Just missed a nice doe at 32 yds broadside. I shot right under her. It's not my day. Staying in stand till it starts raining or snowing.
  15. Had a doe at 42 yds along corn for about 30 mins. She never presented me with a clear shot. Had her arse facing me most of the time. Walked back to where she came from. No other movement. Getting chillier. Thank God for thermos full of hot green tea.
  16. Set up in my stand. Winds calm. Not as cold as last nite. No movement yet.
  17. Heading out myself this morning too. Good luck!
  18. Hopefully the next time I post the buck he's down on the ground.
  19. Second pic was just before the electric sign that says "sharp curves ahead". Not sure of the exit.
  20. Yup. Pretty cold this afternoon and windy. Had northwest winds in my face all afternoon. Thank God for thermals. Winds finally died down at about 5 and then the deer were on the move. Saw bunch of does but too far off. Saw a big 6pt crossing about 75 yds away but he kept going. Heading out tomorrow early. Hopefully I'll see something for the taking in the morning and then sit by the wood stove in the afternoon.
  21. Winter storm warnings Albany south and to the east. 4-8" by Sunday am. Bring it in on mother nature. Love it when it snows and I'm out in my stand. Its so peaceful you can hear the snow hitting the ground.
