    A clean miss is better than wounding him. Been in your shoes too many times. Hopefully they'll be coming out of the woods this weekend. The weather is supposed to be really nice.

    Out of 5 of us only me and my brother got the DMPs in 4Y. I was so disappointed when I went to Dicks to renew on the day they went on sale and was told I didn't get it. Funny thing is I've been checking the mail everyday hoping to see the DEC letter not realizing it was already in my house.

    My wife was doing our bills and called me upstairs to tell me I got my permit. I'm like what the heck are you talking about. So she hands me an envelope from DEC that apparently came Saturday while I was upstate. It contained my DMP which I didn't get when I first applied. What a nice surprise!! I'm stoked. Gonna really fill my freezer come regular season.

    Great story. How come that never happens to me. LOL.

    Based on the amount of water I saw last weekend, they are probably not gonna harvest it until December unless we really get a string of really cold weather days. The doe I shot at and missed last Saturday came out of the corn on the left side of the pictures. I hope the cold and snow knocked down a lot of the wild brush and weeds in front of my stand so I can get a clear shot.
