  2. We have property off route 6.
  3. On the road heading up to my camp. Hopefully I'll be posting some nice pics of a nice buck/fdoe tonite! .
  4. My 10 yo got me started on the game. Now I'm addicted! Lol.
  5. I know this has nothing to do with hunting but this a Halloween tradition at my house - pumpkin carving and roasting of the seeds.
  6. You're always gonna be his kid no matter what the age and parents always do what they have to do to make sure their kids are doing OK. I'm 45, married 20 yrs, raising a teenage girl and a 10 y.o. boy, I own my own house and my own business, yet my 83 y.o. parents (who live down the road from me) are always asking - how's business? do you need help? How are the wife & kids? and so on. It never stops. . . . And I hope it continues for another 25 years.
  7. My Remington 710 prefers Federal Fusion 185gr. Dead on every time.
  8. Teazer, where in 4Y do you hunt? I'm on private land in Germantown. I'm hoping to put one down this weekend. I haven't been up since Columbus Day weekend when I set up my Trophy Cam on a trail behind my stand. I can't wait to check it. There's gotta be hundreds of pictures hopefully of some bucks mixed in with the normal crowd of coyotes, racoons, etc.
  9. Nice! Good luck with it this coming rifle season.

    New here

    Welcome! Good luck hunting!
  11. I found an interesting article on Bowhunting.com facebook page giving the self-filming hunter tips on how to film your own hunt. Interesting tips. http://www.filmingyourhunts.com/
  12. LOL . . . no more Birkenstocks!! Had sneakers on. . . I have a wood burning stove in my home on LI and use it continuously so I need to clean it regularly - before the season starts and once a month thereafter. I do it myself. But couldn't so had to throw in one of those Creosote burning logs to try to clean it that way.
  13. I can climb ladders and stairs as long as the surface on top is flat. I tried going up on my pitched roof last weekend to clean out my chimney. I got up to top of ladder but couldn't put weight on foot when I went to go on top of angled roof. It was the angle of the roof where I get up there that was putting my foot at a weird angle that started to hurt so I gave up. Otherwise its fine. I have a ground blind but not big enough to draw a bow. Thought about buying one but I prefer treestands when using a bow.
  14. Yup. That is the downside. However, with the Iphone if you double click the menu button you bring up all apps running in the background. If you press on one of those apps for about 2 secs they start to shake and a (-) shows up on upper left hand corner. By pressing each one, you can close the app and save battery life. Since I figured that out I've been getting 2-3 days without charging. I don't know if that works on the Android or Droid. Oh Yeah . . . almost forgot . . . Good Hunting this weekend! Be Safe!
  15. I have the IPhone 4. I switched from a Blackberry about 1 1/2 years ago. Other than the antennae issue when they first came out (had to buy a shell that covered the metal around the phone that serves as the antennae) I love it. It's like having a mini computer with you at all times. I use it for business and for fun (some days mostly for fun ) Now that they came out with the IPhone 4S - not much different than the 4 other than a bit faster processor and I think they fixed the antennae issue - ATT dropped price to $99 for the "4" and $199 for 4s with 2 year contract. ATT service is not the best but then again, all carriers have issues. I'm happy with the service where I travel including my hunting area where I have full service.
  16. I'll just get my brother to drive me in his jeep down the farm road toward my stand . . .
