  1. Ouch! Yeah. No weed whacker for my kid. Still learning the mower and more importantly going in straight lines. Lol!
  2. Unless Mr Cuomo decides to use his so called emergency powers to try and sneak it through again!
  3. FL. I suggest something like this http://www.pestnoproblem.com/product/bark-stop-pro I was in your shoes once where my neighbor's dog was constantly barking. So I bought one similar to the one in the link and after a few days the dog stopped barking. No promises but it worked for me.
  4. Thanks for your concern Growie. But this mower stops the engine as soon as you let go of the red bar attached to the handle. He knows to let go if he's not comfortable.
  5. My son and I were invited by my great friend and his son who happens to be my son's best friend to the Jets v Jaguars game. I was expecting to be in the nosebleed section when we were surprised to find out we had VIP parking pass, and we were guests in the Toyota Coaches Club. It was truly an amazing experience especially for my son's first Jets game.
  6. Happy Birthday bud! I hope you enjoy your day!
  7. I use the GoPro Hero 3 and I'm happy with it. it does have a bit of a fisheye lens but you can correct that using Cinepro the software that is available free on the Gopro website. I also use a Looxcie wearable Bluetooth camera that I can control with my Galaxy S4. Lastly I have a small Toshiba handheld HD video recorder for the zoom in shots. I have the Gopro facing me in my blind/stand, the Looxcie on a clip attached to my gun rail and the Toshiba on another clip on my gun rail or a monopod in the ground blind. Now if I can only remember to hit record before I pull the trigger or release an arrow . . . .hmmm.
  8. Ok. I cant take the credit. Saw it on Wired outdoors FB page. Lol. - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Lol! Yeah I thought about hiring someone but it's more of a "keep my kids busy and son off the X-box" list than anything else. Besides, I enjoy doing things around the house. Keeps my mind off the stressors of work. As far as not charging a fortune, I've had my house painted a few times over the last twenty years and I swear, inflation has hit housepainters as well. In 1992 when I bought my house it cost me about $1500 to do three bedrooms, hallway, kitchen, dining and living rooms and three bathrooms. One guy, alone, with no fancy gadgets - just paint brushes and few rollers. Fast forward to just three years ago we did the same thing and it cost me close to $5,000.00, but this guy had fancy lights, dryers, electric rollers - I guess I was paying for his toys. Lol!
  10. Actually my list is more like a "find some things to do to keep our son busy this summer and keep him off the X-box" list. Lol!
  11. Thanks John. Totally forgot. Ordered Conservation legacy license and got my DMP 4Y. I'm siked!
  12. Doc, which Bushnell do you have that died on you? I have a 2010 Bushnell Trophy Cam - plain old brown one which works great and still on the same set of lithium ion batteries for over 1 year. Wondering if maybe an update on Bushnell's website may help get it working again.
  13. Doc, why don't you try to build your own? For the cost of about a mid-level cost trail cam you can build an IP web based trail cam that emails you pictures or that you can control from your computer. The cost would run around $250 for the parts and around $30/month for data plan. I've slowly been working on gathering my parts to build one and hoping to be putting one together during the next off season. http://www.ehow.com/how_5772777_build-camera-live-video-stream.html
  14. The past few weeks I've been pushing to get things done around the house before hunting season begins this October. Last weekend was yard work. This past weekend was painting. So far I've painted two out of three exterior doors to my house which have been on my list for a couple of years now. Yesterday I taped and spackled my daughter's room and this afternoon we painted the ceiling "Oy my aching neck! and yes - - - she got her hands and face speckled with white ceiling paint. And she wants the walls painted candy apple red - which she does not realize will make her room look so small. Oh well . . . After my daughter's room my son and I will be painting our two gates and arbor . . . I will be Mr. Miyagi and he will be Danielsan . . . "Up . . . down. . .up . . . down". Then the wife wants our master bathroom painted which we will tackle after our Niagara trip. I'm hoping to get all miscellaneous stuff completed by mid September including reseeding the lawn and doing some pruning. In between all this I've been trying to shoot my bow every other day for about 1/2 hour or so. So how are you all doing with your lists?
  15. Here's some info on setting booby traps in one's home http://www.phoenixlockmaster.com/booby-trapping-for-thieves-whats-legal-what-will-send-you-to-prison/
  16. Ugg! My maltipoo likes to find chimpmunk or coon poop and he rolls in it. The stench makes me want to heave. We let him have at it when we know he is getting a bath that night. I can't imagine what bear poop smells like.
  17. Congrats on passing your bow test.
  18. Who said time won't stand still? Lol! Oct 1st can't come fast enough!
  19. Used my Go pro hero 3 this past spring but unfortunately didn't see much to film. Hoping to film this October.
  20. Yup. Saw it on News12.com this morning and wanted to share . . .
  21. DOT quality control needs some improvement . . . And NO . . I'm not the spelling police!! Just thought it was funny!
  22. Have fun! Heading up to camp to set up my cameras for one night in a couple of weeks on way to Niagara with the family. Can't wait to get away from LI.
