  1. Here are the arrow wraps that I had made for me several years ago
  2. One of the best items I bought for hunting is a SLED . It made it much easier to drag a deer even if ther is no snow on the ground . There are holes along the sides so the deer can be tied in . Towing it behind the ATV is a breeze I laughed when I first ever saw a Glen's Deer Drag . I had used a Deer Drag and had put a 5" piece of PVC for a handle . A few years later the Glen's Deer Drag came out .
  3. Killed the cams batteries as most of it was tall grass blowing . PRMS0027.AVI
  4. 1) yes , it has a lever engage deck 2) The mower is a 5 speed with a clutch that has to be depressed to shift 3) When I get a chance , I will take my spare battery down and put it in my son's mower and see if it makes a difference 4) All of the pulleys will move freely if no pressure is placed on the belt - nothing binding
  5. I stopped in to the JD dealership in East Avon this am on my way to Geneseo . I talked to a woman in the Service Dept about the problem . She said that if the battery is weak that it could cause it to stall . I said " WHAT " ? She said it takes a lot of juice when engaging the blades . She also said that if the clutch bearings are bad , that it could be the problem . She seemed quite confident in her diagnosis but I was waiting for her to try to sell me some turn signal fluid . I know for a fact that the battery "is" in bad shape as my son has a jump start gadget that he has to hook up to the mower to start it ....... thanks for the responses .
  6. It's no different than the stupid feminists supporting Sharia Law . They would become 3rd class citizens if that happened !
  7. The obsession with racks is nothing more than a Macho thing . I have friends that don't hunt and will say things like , "you didn't get a buck , my son shot a big 4 point and all you got was 2 doe " ! Then I ask them what they got and they shut up . Would I like to shoot a deer with a big rack ? Sure , but I am not obsessed with doing it .
  8. The engine shuts down when engaging the blades with the new belt . It didn't shut down with the old belt that was stretched and loose which didn't turn the blades .
  9. 1) Blades spin freely 2) Seat switch has been jumped so it stays running if the rider gets off . 3) The mower cuts out when the blades are trying to be engaged IN NEUTRAL 4) Jeremy - where did you find anything about a safety switch on the end of the engage lever ? I have GOOGLED all kinds of things with no luck . Can't get a PDF or anything unless I buy a manual ..... Thanks for the ideas ............
  10. My son inherited a John Deere L100 mower . He did some work on it to get it started , etc . When he engaged the blades , it didn't cut anything . I took a look and figured the belt was worn and loose . Nick bought a new belt and put it on yesterday . The problem is ..... when the blades are engaged the mower engine cuts out . He is trying to engage them while in neutral . The belt install looks right but I sent him a text this am to check and see if the belt is installed properly . Any ideas ?
  11. I didn't like hunting with Tiffany . Her perfume was too strong and spooked the deer !
  12. I hunt my Hog Meat at either Tops or Wegman's !
  13. No idea if it's legal or not . Ponds do overflow and that water runs into different streams which could affect other waterways .
  14. There were a few perched in a neighbor's tree . I think they were checking me out .
  15. We often see a half dozen or more gliding through the air just East of us . What is weird is that they are over the Furnaceville Cemetery .
  16. My youngest son set 2 different ones 10 yards out from the ladder stand he was in in South Bristol . Shot a 10 point buck at one of the sticks .
  17. They are a neat bird to watch glide through the air but they are so UGLY !
  18. Old barns are neat . It's a shame to see so many of them being torn down . Some were eyesores but they stood the sands of time and survived a long time . Nice job on Outdoorstom's barn .
  19. I am 75 . I hunt Private property and in no way would I cheat . I have a thing about Ethics and have a conscience . Don't try to put the old guys as potential law breakers . I bought a CrossBow last year and will give it a try when it's legal to use but I still do not support full inclusion and I don't fight it either .
  20. I have an old Metal Milk Crate that I will sell you ........
  21. Happy Birthday Moog ! Have a great time at Hershey Park ........
  22. What's the most "worthless" hunting / sports tool you have ever bought ? For me , it was the "Air Skinner" . It's a device that you stick in a deer's hide and fasten it to an air compressor . The air loosens the hide from the muscle . The videos showing the use make it look like a great tool . The problem I had was as soon as it loosens the hide and finds the opening from field dressing , that's it . It will loosen the hide a bit but it was a total waste of money . http://www.airskinner.com/air-skinner-in-action/
  23. Oh C'mon . Fletch had a birthday last year about the same time ........ Happy Birthday Fletch !
  24. Tried to beat the rain so I didn't get to pull all the cards from Cameras that I have in Walworth . Got my 1st fawn . I think there is a raccoon problem .
