  1. Friends of mine that live in Williamson have a woodchuck problem . They don't let anyone hunt their orchards but they are still friends of mine . I set up a trail cam July 22 . Between then and July 26 the chuck showed up twice in the same day (morning & afternoon) . Gotta turn the camera a bit next time I go over there .My friend told me several years ago that I could set up cameras in the orchard to get deer pics and I turned him down saying "why in hell take pics of something I can't shoot" . I told hid wife that I hoped the deer would eat her whole garden .
  2. The 11 stands on my SIL's property mostly get used by me . Depends on the wind direction as to which one I use . Sometimes one or two of my sons hunt with me so we can cover different areas . There is a location where I wanted to put up a tri-pod stand but it is in a wet area and not sure how stable I could make it even using 2X8's under the legs . Plus it's so wet now that it is close to impossible to get the parts into that area .
  3. It was nice of the bear to bring it in for a close up !
  4. Those weren't pop crates that were tossed . They were beer crates . One is a Yuengling & Son crate . The other is a National Brewery crate . I saw similar crates on EBAY with a price of $250 . Hmmmmm
  5. Not easy to watch . Not even High Fence hunting ........
  6. It took a few seconds for me to notice the high heels .
  7. I have 11 stands on my SILs 67 acres . This past spring I took my GPS and marked down the location of all the stands as well as the 7 trail cams .
  8. I was in 81mm mortars while in the Marine Corps . Someone threw out a wooden 81mm case in Walworth and I was able to grab it just for sentimental value . I have a few of the old wooden pop bottle cases also . No idea if any of these are worth anything .
  9. Give the buck in the 1st picture a couple more years ..... yeah , right !
  10. FSW - I don't see why you find it necessary to keep poking her with a stick .......
  11. I liked the Warning Notice ! Neat pics too ...
  12. I stopped at K-Mart in Webster today . The Toboggans are now 70 percent off priced at $11.99 . Big difference from $40 . I bought two more and plan to give one to each of my sons that deer hunt .
  13. Where was the aledeged sighting ? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. Looks like a beauty ........... Git 'r done !
  15. I used to sit on buckets when I hunted from the ground but I need a backrest . If the tree trunk is straight that the stand is in , that helps . But , like I said in another thread that if the tree trunk is frozen , your back will get cold real quick .
  16. I should have had a light turned on for this video ........... Winch Part Deux.wmv
  17. War zone ??? We don't always agree with each other as everyone has their own opinion .
  18. Sorry for your loss Larry . My condolences .....
  19. I posted a video of my winch a few years ago . It was on photobucket and in the DIY forum . Bought a 2500# winch at Harbor Freight for $50 and a couple pulleys . Used a 12 volt mower battery . See if this works for a video . Fast Eddie's Elec Deer Winch.wmv
