Several years ago I bought a snow blower at WalMart . Got a call that it arrived at the Henrietta store . My son in law and I were hunting in Geneseo . He shot a small doe and so did my sister in law . When we got the deer up to where his Ford Ranger was parked , he said let's take these to the processor on Hudson and pick up your snow blower on the way . When we got to WalMart I finished paying for the blower and we went back to pick it up . The fork lift driver wasn't there with the key so I said , let's just lift it down and we did . Took it out by the sidewalk and Gary drove his truck over . We took the two deer out and put them on the sidewalk and loaded the blower and put the deer back in the truck . A few people had walked by , saw the deer and never said a word . A funny thing .... a guy with a station wagon was there to pick up a snow blower so we helped him get one down and carried it to his station wagon . When we got it on the tail gate , the box was about 1 1/2" too high and he thought he was going to have to leave it . I said that there is usually extra space in the shipping boxes and why not cut a couple inches off the top . We did that and slid it in the wagon . I asked what he did for a living and he said he was an Engineer at Kodak . Gary and I looked at each other and broke out laughing .

Moog .... You have money . Drive over to Lowes and buy a new one . I did my driveway a bit ago . Some of that bottom snow was heavy . I had a TroyBuilt for about 8 years and had to replace it with another one . The associate said they only build them to last so many run hours . Anyway I have one of those hoods on the blower to keep you from getting covered with snow . It's the same one I bought in 2006 and it works like a charm . I was blowing the snow East down at the mailbox and the wind was coming from the west . The wind picked up and I thought it was going to rip the hood off and blow it to Williamson . I would NOT go to those a-holes on 250 in Webster ( Precision ) . I have heard nothing but bad reports on them . I stopped in there once to get some parts and left furious . What about Titus mower ?

My youngest son Nick and his buck .....

My youngest son , Nick , and I met at the property in Geneseo at 5:45 am and headed for our stands a few minutes later . I gave Nick the choice of stands as he has a limited time he can hunt . He chose the stand that his brother and I put up last week and I took the willow tree . I didn't see a darned thing . Nick shot a doe and about 45 minutes later shot a big buck . It would probably be listed as an 8 point but had a tine broke of and a couple of half inch nubs so next year it might have been an 11 . I walked to the woods to see what he had and then walked up to where I was parked , got the ATV & sled and hauled the buck up to the trailer . Then went back and got the doe . I had to leave the ATV there as I was out of room . Showed my SIL the deer and then headed to Honeoye Falls to drop the deer off . Nick and Matt were skinning and cutting up the deer . It was getting quite overcast and I shoved off for home . Stopped at a cra was and washed out the sled and trailer . That was a chore . I would like to have hunted longer but it worked out for the best by leaving when we did .

My youngest son shot a buck and a doe from the stand that his brother and I set up a few days ago . They both came in on the trail that I made with the atv . I saw nothing from my perch . Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Although I failed to cash in during the archery season I will continue to hunt as long as my body is able to do it . If it wasn't for getting out to hunt , my lazy ass would be at the computer even more . Going to hunt in Geneseo with my youngest son this am . I am hoping that there will be hunters on the bordering properties to have the deer move . It will be warm early and cool off this afternoon according to the forecast .

I wear blaze orange . Either a blaze orange jacket or vest with a blaze orange hat . I hunt private land . I didn't live to be 75 by being stupid . I never put my trust in hunters on adjacent properties . Even the breakup blaze orange works . Just don't look at me through your rifle scope !

I carry 5 with my 25-06 single shot . Prince Andy Cuomo said "you don't need 10 bullets to kill a deah " !

So much for Bow Season . Saw a doe standing next to the road near the Qwik Fill in Ontario . Saw another doe standing by the road near Pole Bridge Road and Lima road . Saw a doe run across my sister's neighbor's lawn on Reservoir road in Geneseo but saw nothing while sitting in a stand in Geneseo . I was sitting in one of my stands that is located in the bottom of a pasture lot with a creek behind it at the end of a gully . I was in the stand at 5:45 . Never saw a thing . Told my SIL that I was ready to help with the electric fence at !0 am . Got the fence wired up and left to visit with one of my sisters . Came home and got my gear ready for tomorrow's gun season .
