We get the Gross Beaks , Blue Jays and Cardinals regularly . I havn't seen any Humming Birds yet this year .

I had gone out and tried it a few times over the years . Never got a shot . I found Turkey Season to be a bad time in the woods as I would get eaten up by the Black Flies . Those little buggers would feast on me . I would rather save my energy for Deer Season .

Doc , sorry I didn't get back sooner . Yes , it's an old wild apple tree . The camera has been in the same location for years . Here is a picture of another Deere that I got .

Took the pictures through the window pane . I might even have to wash my windows to get better pictures .

They seem to like the suet . I usually hear them before seeing them . The female comes more often than the male . They have been coming around for about 3 years .

It's funny she scrapes the excess suet off the side of her beak .

Went to Geneseo today to pull cards in 3 cameras . Havn't checked them in over 2 months . One camera has 300+ pics that need to be edited , one camera had about 50 pics and the wrong dates ( shows January 2008 ) and another had over 7000 pictures that need to be edited . It's a lot of work when you don't keep up with them .

maytom .... you spoiled my post . I was using a WB for a few years and had to switch to a Drop Away when I started shooting arrows with the Qwik-Spin vanes . The little tabs on the vanes would drag on the whiskers . I tried a QAD rest and couldn't get it to have proper clearance and neither could the shop . I sold it on the AT site and bought a Trophy Ridge drop away but it isn't full containment . The WB is an excellent rest and you don't lose more than 3 fps shooing arrows .

I plan to do a co-ownership with my oldest son on all of my pistols / handguns so if something happens to me , they will be his . The Red Hawk has a 2X Leopold scope on it .

I also have a Ruger Super Red Hawk 44 mag that I don't like to shoot .

The 7-30 waters is an odd ball caliber . The only company that makes the ammo is Federal . I was able to resize some 30-30 brass to reload .

TC Contender with a 7-30 waters barrel and Bushnell 2X6 scope . I don't like the 44 mag barrel .
