If bucks were no longer allowed to be taken , I guess we would have to remove the targets from them in our area and just leave them on the does .

The ground can't cause a fumble on a running play but it can on a passing play .

Consider yourself lucky Larry . I have had deer on trail cams and when the season opens , no more pics even if I havn't been there the 1st couple weeks to stink up the area .

Letting an under age unlicensed kid shoot a deer is not right . Having someone else put a tag on that illegal deer is not right . The father and the relative (whose tag was used) and the kid all got off too easy . I wonder if the father hunts with a spotlight also .

Phade -- I agree to an extent . Some businesses buy / lease a building due to it's location . It may have more space than required of which some doesn't get used . Might as well put it to use , if possible . If not , it just remains wasted space . Anyway , maybe F&S Store might pick up the slack and hold the classes in their building .

It had nothing to do with the steps as Dez didn't have complete control while taking any steps .

The store was paying overhead for an empty room . How does that help them ? Holding a class in the unused room made for potential customers in their store . I spent money there and probably wouldn't have if it hadn't been for the class .

I took my Bow Hunting class at the Rochester Hollow Grinder store in Charlotte . They had an empty room upstairs where the class was given . RHG also had an archery shop and bow range upstairs . People that took the course went back ther to shop and a couple joined an archery shooting league . The empty room was already paid for by their overhead so it didn't cost the shop anything extra and brought in some potential customers . RHG was located on Stutson Street and was on the route to cross the old bridge at Charlotte harbor . After they build the new bridge business dropped off . Anyway , maybe the new Field and Stream store might pick up the slack and being a location to hold the classes .

Buck haters ---- really ??? When I deer hunt and a buck or doe approaches with the possibility of getting a shot my heart starts pounding . Either one doesn't change the equation . I retired in 1998 and have plenty of time to spend in the outdoors and just seeing deer , etc is fun . If bucks were "off limits" , I would still be out there just as much .

It was easier to say than New Jersey Bozo (Christie) but could have been for the NYC mayor !

I call BS on this reply . You aren't bursting any bubbles here . Would I like to shoot a buck ..... sure . If bucks were off limits , shooting doe would be fine . I am not about to pass up any shot on a doe (unless it's a fawn) . I don't think the original post was about choosing one over the other . It was about if you weren't allowed to shoot any bucks , would you change your hunting . It's about putting meat in the freezer . Some guys won't shoot doe and several landowners that I know don't want those guys on their property as they want the herd reduced and have less crop damage . I have never shot what would be considered a trophy buck . The biggest I have shot was a 7 pt and 8 pt . I have shot doe larger than several of the bucks and have gotten more meat off of them . Buck or doe , whatever crosses my path . Will I wait for the big one to come along ? No way . NOTHING WOULD CHANGE !

If Rex gets the job , I hope he gets a good OC . Someone who doesn't call run , run , pass , punt !

I would think it would be a matter of how each blind blends into the background . Fitting a blind into a brushy area would make it less noticeable than if it was in the open . Dom .... how do you set your blinds up ?

I would continue with same drive and passion also . I hunt the deer for the meat , not for the horns . I'll leave the horn hunting to the Neanderthals !

I the guy on RT 104 in Ontario charges around $95 for 2 FC delivered with a 4 week wait $620 total for 8 FC delivered with a 2 week wait Both would cost an additional tax I just called to verify the prices and the lady told me the costs . I also saw where someone complained that he didn't receive any pieces over 14" in his load .
