I was able to purchase some insoles a few years ago that have a slot that holds the Hand Warmers . They have a slot in the toe area that has a styrofoam insert that can be remove to a hand warmer can go in that spot . During warm weather the foam piece can be put in it's place .

I buy the Hot Hands brand at BJs Wholesale and they work pretty good . 40 pair plus 4 pair of toe warmers for $40 ' My sister in law gave me a box of Little Hotties ( 10 pair ) . They didn't last as long as the Hot Hands . My wife gave me a pair or re-usable hand warmers . You have to snap / pop a clip and it starts a reaction that starts them warming . As they cool off they stiffen . To recharge them , you drop them in boiling water or put them in a microwave and the stuff inside returns to a liquid state . They work pretty good but I forget that I have them . Years ago ( many years ago ) I had a hand warmer that operated on lighter fluid . That baby would get hot and smelled of the fluid but I shot several deer while using it . I think it was a Zippo brand .

I have only been asked my birth date and nothing else . No problem at DICKs .

My wife bought a NuWave oven cooker a couple years ago when our microwave crapped out on us . She loves the thing . I have never used it .

When I 1st saw that video It reminded me that the 50's were the good old days . I remember the McCarthy witch hunts looking for Communists in our midst . I always wanted one of those chemistry sets to fool around with but my parents were smart enough to no buy one for me . Many of the cars in the 50's were really eye catchers .... now they all look alike . Oh yeah , I still have a Flexible Flyer Sled in the rafters of my garage ( I think ) .

The dye packet in Oleo Margarine was like a red button that had to be popped and then you squeezed the packet back and forth to mix the color . Otherwise it looked like white lard .

I saw a few elderly men in the store I was tempted to ask each one if they were called Doc ..... lol I was impressed that they had reloading supplies and guns in the store . Not too bad of a selection .

Drove to Canandaigua and back today . Did a lot of rubber-necking but never saw any deer . That Runnings store is awesome . It is huge . They had a cot and chairs back by the camping / hunting area . I wondered if it was for folks to take a break . Great store !

I have 2 in Geneseo and 2 in Walworth . The batteries might be dead in all of them . Snow is too deep to check in Walworth and Geneseo is 50 miles away .

I am anxious to get down to Geneseo to see if my Pod Blind got trashed by the weather but i'm not walking 3/4 of a mile in deep snow in this copld weather to find out . I'm heading for Canandaigua in a few minutes to check out the Runnings Store . It's up to 8 degrees already !

I don't go out unless I have to . It is 0 degrees right now . When I get too bored , I can go to the basement and shoot a few arrows . I may do some reloading in March but really don't need to do any .

I just noticed that whoever captioned the pic spelled Field as Feild ........... Anyway , that would be one fat deer !

Fattening up

I recall some young guys screwing around in Avon several years ago and shot a farmer's cow with an arrow . Anyone have a recollection of this ?
