    I would check with the property owner ( unless that's you ) to see if he had the stands taken down . I would also look on Craig's List to see if they are being sold by some local . People do steal stuff and then try to sell it there .

    I am also retired but I generally work Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays . I won't be working Tuesday October 1st though .

    There is no way I can see to lock a ground blind . I lost one that I had staked to the ground and somewhat tied . When I went to get it some time after the season ended , it was gone but that was my fault . I had left it too long waiting for some decent weather and the high winds ripped it away . Like Papist said , blend it in to the surroundings . Put some cuttings around it .

    I had been pretty much for let the little ones walk and because of that have eaten several tags . I turned 72 earlier this month and I don't think I am going to be too selective anymore in my old age . I still don't think I could draw on a spike though .........

    I had an old 3-D deer set at 30 yards , a new one at 20 yards and a block target at 10 yards . I have a slider one pin sight on my bow . I am well aware that if I don't bend at the waist , my arrows will be high soooooo , I bent at the waist at the 20 yard 3-D but didn't at the 30 yard 3-D . I was getting the same grouping . I know it's not the right way to do it but it eliminates moving the pin and it works . Hmmmmmmmm !

    Belo ----- I have a used French Army rifle for sale . It was carried in 2 wars , dropped twice and still has the white flag attached !

    I don't go into a stand without a harness and I purchased a HSS harness several years ago . I have caught myself a couple times sitting in a stand , wearing the harness and all of a sudden it hits me , hey dumb ass hook it up to the tree . Many tree stand hunters won't wear a harness because it restricts their shooting . They might end up shooting from a wheel chair . Cabin Fever --- thanks for posting .

    I bought a Repeal the SAFE Act sign for the yard at the Avon Gun Shop yesterday . Before I put it in the yard I wrote " Stolen from E McDonald - Ontario NY " on both sides on the bottom . Let someone steal that !
