Thanks guys . I have several months to do some scouting , move stands , wash and store hunting clothes and get ready for another season . I also need to check out some new hunting ground . Now I will have time to install a youth stock on one of my rifles , do some reloading and clean up the man cave . I also need to rip some 2 X 4's and make some more target holders for the gun club . Maybe i'll even spend some time with the wife . She gets to be a widow 2 1/2 months out of the year .

Sooooo , you have had a "moving experience" too ?

Drove down to Mendon / Pittsford spot this am . Another guy showed up a few minutes after I got there . We introduced ourselves to each other and stated where each of us would be . The fella told me he had lost 4 (four) deer this season . Wow ! Anyway I was in the stand around 6:45 and stayed until about 11:30 am . All I saw was 6 turkey ---- no deer . The other guy left just after 9 am . Rain is forecasted for most of tomorrow -- last day of hunting . I am done for the season . 287 days before Bow Season opens !

As Jerry Seinfeld would say , " Buh-Bye " !

As far as I know , a thread just gets locked when it gets out of control .

I havn't been out since Friday and hadn't seen anything all day . Going to give Mendon a try tomorrow morning . Pretty bummed out this season .

I can't speak for this year but I agree Bubba . In the past when there were more hunters out there , I would get most of my deer between 9:30 and 10:30 am . Hunters who sat would get up and walk the woods or walk back to their vehicle to get something to eat / drink and kick up some deer in the process .

Standing on top of an ATV with a loaded shotgun . Isn't that considered "hunting from a motorized vehicle" ?

So , now you want to also take an unfair advantage of those who hunt in the woods ? Leave well enough alone and hunt by daylight hours .

Take a picture in the woods at that time and see how much less light there is .............

Sunrise for the local area is listed in the newspaper . I go on the Accu Weather site to look up the hourly forecast . Sunrise / Sunset is listed there also . If you look on page 80 of the Rules & Regs , there is a chart . It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out .

Another fun day in the great outdoors . Was at the tent blind by 6:30 located on Lima Road about 1 mile from Country Club Road . I heard 3 quick shots to the west of me toward the village of Geneseo and checked my watch . It was 6:50 am and sunrise was at 7:35 plus there is no way the 3 booms came from any ML . Anyway , I got out of the blind at 10 and did some walking . Shoved off for the village and got something to eat . Went back to my SILs and went to a treestand and sat until 4:15 . Sunset was at 4:37 so I started heading back up to the blind , grabbed my gear and went to my car . Hooked up my trailer and loaded up the ATV and headed home . I need to find a different spot for next year . Geneseo had always been a good area for me but it really sucked this year . This was definately my worst season ever !

I heard 3 quick shots at 6:50 this am and another 3 about an hour later .

I was out this am . Sunrise was at 7:35 . I heard 3 quick shots at 6:50 . The 1/2 hour before sunrise would have been 7:05 and the shots were 15 minutes before that . The shots came from toward the village and had to be a shotgun or someone was able to reload and shoot super fast .

Only the kid on the bike and his dad are tresspassers ..........

I wear my BO vest and hat during ML season . I will have it on today .

I would also love to see it . I hope you don't use a lot of big words or some of these guys on here won't understand it . j/k

That reminds me , I still have a $50 gift certificate for Beikirchs . Hans bought the place from Beikirch and Hans bought a house out here in Ontario . Anyway , they have decent prices and I purchase all my powder there . It's not that far off the X-way either . As I recall , Skillet works near there . Gander Mt is pricey and Dick's beats them for ammo prices but Dicks doesn't have reloading components . Gander will honor most of the Dicks coupons but if you have a $49.99 item , they won't give you the $10 off . It has to be $50 or more .
