  1. If you are good at 30 yards leave the settings alone . Adjustments might screw up your closer shots .
  2. I bought some SDHD cards over a year ago and they are a pain in the butt . I have to use a "card reader" to upload the pics and I don't get the option to delete the photos after the upload . The camera won't delete them and I tried a 2nd camera with no luck . Finally I got out my laptop that I use as a backup , inserted the card reader , went into the system and was able to clear the card . No more HD cards for me ! Oh yeah , there was over 6200 pics on the card .
  3. Happy Birthday guys ! Have a great day ......

  9. Patience . I sit most of the day when I hunt and make it an all day affair . I may swap stands depending on the wind but try to give the stand an all day sit . I used to walk almost a mile to the back of the woods when other hunters were on adjacent property but havn't seen much activity there in a few years plus the woods and been partially under water as the land doesn't drain . I drive just over 50 miles to the property so I might hunt it every other day which gives me time to rest . I noticed on the trail cams that the deer are traveling closer to my SIL's house and barn so I put up a stand and will try that out this bow season . Each year I pass on the spikes , fork horns and 5 points . This may be the year that passing goes down the drain . I would just as soon shoot a doe rather than anything under 6 points . Anyway , having patience to stay out the whole day is key to my success . Years ago during gun season and when there were more hunters I used to get a deer around 9:30 - 10 am when guys would get antsy and start to move around or go back to their vehicle to get coffee , etc .. Patience .............
  10. Thanks for the Birthday comments . And just think , only yesterday I was one year younger . I'd be afraid to light Birthday candles as 71 of them would set off the Fire Alarms .
  11. What kind of choke / barrel do you have . I wouldn't put any slugs through a Full Choke barrel ........
  12. Right on Doc . If people don't like the ways things are working , get involved and make changes . Spend your time , money , energy , etc and make things happen . Write letters , have meetings , do whatever is necessary to make changes . Just complaining about the way things are isn't going to cut it !
  13. I ordered some on EBAY and will give them a try this season . The 2 Blade Rage have worked well for me in the past .
  14. I bought a 3-pack online yesterday ............ I try them in place of my Rage 2 blade this season

  17. I carry an extra release , arm guard and safety harness in my back pack . I wear the HSS harness to the stand . My quiver , release and armguard are in my bow case . I have a Contender 7-30 waters pistol that I took hunting . Unfortunately I grabbed the 25-06 carrier but ...... I had my shotgun in the truck with shells so I was okay .
  18. I don't are who you are . That's funny !

  22. A neighbor of my sister in laws was riding on her property and I confronted him . He rides the mowed trail on adjacent properties also . He said that often as he rode along by the tall grass / weeds a deer would stand up , look and lay back down .
