Suggested 777 charge for a Hornaday 300 gr sabot ?
fasteddie replied to fasteddie's topic in Muzzleloaders
Shooting loose grain 777 . I didn't care for the pellets . My NEF Huntsman shoots 240 grain real well but I wanted to shoot the 300 grain sabots in the Traditions . The heavier bullets really pack a whollop . Thanks for any replies . -
I have shot deer in July - August with Crop Damage Permits and never had a problem . If it was really hot , I just stopped and bought a bag of ice to put in the cavity .

I was researching Hornaday 300 gr XTP sabots and saw in one spot where it was recomended to use 150 grains of powder . Is this necessary ? Any suggestions ? I was loading 100 gr of 777 but wasn't getting tight groups . The guy I bought the gun from said he was using 100 grains of powder and getting good groups It's a Traditions in-line

This was sent to me so I copied and pasted it ............. Tick Removal A nurse discovered a safe, easy way to remove ticks where they automatically withdraw themselves when you follow her simple instructions. Read this one as it could save you from some major problems. Spring is here and the ticks will soon be showing their heads. Here is a good way to get them off you, your children, or your pets. Give it a try. Please forward to anyone with children, hunters or dogs; or anyone who even steps outside in summer! A School Nurse has written the info below--good enough to share--and it really works! “I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great because it works in those places where it’s sometimes difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.” “Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20); the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This technique has worked every time I’ve used it (and that was frequently), and it’s much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me.” “Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can’t see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor’s wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn’t reach it with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say, “It worked!”

I started to join the Club in Leicester ny . There was an initial $200 plus $50 a year . There is a waiting list to get in . You had to do at least 2 work projects a year or pay $50 for the ones you didn't do . Then you were required to sell $50 worth of Lottery tickets or buy them yourself . You could also deer hunt the property , camp thereand fish . They have a nice club building with a bar and kitchen . You could rent the place for a day for a party , etc ..

It says it's a forage for goats . Do you have any goats left or did those damn dogs get them all ? -
Funny you should mention that Sulleabhain . Our rod and gun club no longer stocks the pond and I doubt if there is anything other than turtles in the water .
