We stayed for a week in Old Forge . I had been riding the roads around home while wearing a helmet but didn't see folks wearing them where we stayed but wore mine anyway . I rode to Inlet and back . I was pumping hard coming up a hill and had enough torque on the back wheel that it pulled out and I crashed . My helmet slammed on the pavement and I would have busted my head open if I hadn't been wearing a helmet . I ended up bruising a kidney . I never wore a helmet as a kid but found it rather hypocritical to have my kids / grand kids wear one and not do it myself . I have a 14 speed bike and always wear the helmet .

Some good advice

I was installing & removing Real Estate signs today . I couldn't wait to get back in the car with the AC . We have AC in the house and I love it .

What is stupid is seeing a parent riding his / her bike with no helmet and riding with a couple kids that are wearing helmets . Adults can be hurt just as easily .

I know guys that stop off at the Restaurants for breakfast before heading to the woods . You can tell that they did by the smell of grease on their clothes . They aren't as careful as bow hunters in that respect . My opinion !

My NEF Huntsman shoots the 240 gr Hornaday sabots quite well . The Traditions didn't seem to like them . I am going to try them again ( the 240's ) with a different primer .

Trail cam pictures and actual sightings are my # 1 . Physical signs 2nd Cover 3rd funnels / pinch points 4th food sources last ---- the crops are usually gone and the deer are traveling to an unknown source

I was thinking about getting a Deer Crossing sign and put it in my SIL's pasture lot so they would go where I want them to travel .

I wonder how many of the hardened gun hunters will change their tune when crossbows are allowed in all seasons .

I like the 2nd pic . It looks like the fawn is running to Mama . I have noticed that when I have seen mine and others pics of a doe , there has only been one fawn with it . Anyone else seeing this ?
