Nice pics !

I was at my son's home in the Mendon / Honeoye Falls area yesterday . Aruond 6:30 pm I looked across the road with the binos and counted 14 deer . At least 3 of them were bucks . My youngest son and his girlfriend said they saw at least 2 dozen deer in the field less than 1/2 mile west of the house . Very few of them are coming out during mid day but show up before dark .

I'm back from church and they weren't silent but I got away with it . We were singing "How great Thou Art" and I timed it at the parts "I hear the rolling thunder" . ??? At least I think I got away with it . :

Looks like another good tool to have !

The big test will be at 8:30 Mass tomorrow morning . I'll find out if those were silent farts or not !

It sure sounds like a fun thing to do but i'd hate to be responsible for someone getting hurt and wanting to sue me . Gotta be safe .

I heard of the Atom Broadheads a couple years ago . I have yet to see or hear from any archers I know about using them .

I keep the pins in my backpack plus an extra set that is larger diameter . I wouldnt want to unlock the stand and not be able to use it . But then there are more pins in the legs anyway !

I see numerous hunters during Bow and Gun Season in 8F , 8H and 8N . Cars parked in spots at 5 am near woods and fields . The deer are there but many of them have gone nocturnal . There is a farmer whose family farms land in Pittsford & Mendon who told me that a retired DEC officer goes out and does periodic counts and there is a high deer populatin here .

I wonder iof Teddy had more than one goat tag !

Good idea as when the deer come out , you aren't going to get any practice shots . Make that 1st shot your best one ! I have a 5 arrow quiver . I take a couple arrows with target tips along and after sitting for a few hours and bored , I may whoot one at a leaf , clump of grass , whatever just to loosen up .

Make it so that when you reply , instead of having to remove the "notify me of replies" by clicking the box to cancel that the box be blank and would have to be clicked to get the nofification . I wonder how many care about the notification . I often forget and have a few email deletes to do .

THese folks will fight the culling but they wouldn't dig deep into their pockets to pay for the capture , sterlization , etc of the Tulip Eaters !

I stopped by there the other day . It's more for shotgun shooting than anything . They ahve a rifle range but only 100 yards . Nice looking place .

I install / remove Real estate signs for a guy that has a sign business . A couple years ago i had to install a sign on a property in the Rush - Mendon area . Because the property was pie shaped my instructions were to see the property owner and check for sign placement . She was an elderly woman in her 80's . I forget what the signs were on her garage but it led me to believe she was an anti hunter . I jokingly asked if she was one of the PETA folks . She said , " I used to be but the damn deer eat all my flowers , shrubs and I can't keep a garden . I wouldn't care if someone killed all those damned deer" ! Whoa ! She cracked me up !

They say it takes a while to get use to them . So far , it's driving me nuts with all the sounds that I am now experiencing . I found out the the turn signals on my subaru make a noise . I can hear the keys smack the steering column . Dayum , it's a whole new world !

I went to the Hearing Center this am and had hearing aids installed . I am hearing noises that I wasn't aware of before .It takes a while to get used to them . It was a nice size doe . Shot her at about 120 - 130 yards with my NEF 25-06 . She dropped where she was standing .
