  1. I just cut and made up a new dozen myself, old school stuff, Easton XX75 Aluminum 2016s topped with with the old Bear Super Razorheads and slung from a Bear Super Kodiak recurve I have had since the late 1960s. Al
  2. As expected another troll post from the "super duper", there are a zillion laws on the books now that are not enforced, who the hell do you think is doing all those killings in the Dem run cities, how about that looking you straight in the face because it ain't the folks that are on this board that hunt and shoot breaking gun laws. I have a big time problem being punished for something I had nothing to do with! Al
  3. Yes a crock of libtard bullshit straight from the NY Times who would like nothing better than to destroy the organization. It is not only Hunters that need to craft the message as there are plenty of folks in shooting sports and just folks that have guns for protection. Making it about Hunters is their sneaky way of eliminating those black rifles and handguns who do not need to own such weapons to hunt. Lifetime NRA member here who just proudly sent in a donation Al
  4. Do a search for Rod and Gun clubs in your area that you may be able to join, usually there will be something within reasonable driving distance. If there happens to be an active club close by it would give you a great start as most will have a shooting range, hunter's and gun safety courses and of course members that are hunters that will help you get pointed in the right direction. I did a quick google search and there were several that came up, how well run and active they are I can not say as I am not familiar with the area so you will have to do some investigating. Al
  5. You are a master of deflection or should I say duping as you like to say. So let me say this a bit more plainly, Leave the politics section, then scroll up to the hunting sections of this board and doing some serious contributing there! Al
  6. There is not and never has been a litmus test for one's hunting skills in order to be a member of this forum. I believe members especially welcome newbies and love to help point them in the right direction the best we can. Like you said this is a hunting forum so how about talking about hunting and the equipment used instead of trolling a by far percentage wise Conservative membership here with Dem politics in 99% of your posts for a change! Al
  7. And as I stated before I can recognize a duping quite easily and if I had the chance could just as easily prove you have had more than one account on this board. Al
  8. As someone who has run a message board for many years what I believe you have here is what I call dual citizenship, a person who has two or maybe more accounts under different names. On most boards it is a banning offence for the simple reason it is done by a troll to stir up trouble which is pretty plain to see by just reviewing posts. Don't know about the workings of this board but on mine I have tools to find, expose and root these people out. Al
  9. Matching wits with wildlife to scratch my genetic primal predator itch, there are many times no kill has to be made for me to experience the satisfaction of hunting. Just getting a bead on them will often do. Al
  10. So you have decreed all the "trash" as you refer them to be, and not to be "racist" against white folks no matter their color must vote for Democrats? By the way I would like to add this sounds like a Biden slogan! "You Ain't Trash Unless You Vote For Me"! Al
  11. So according to you these folks are White Trash and are Trump supporters. Now may I ask what disparaging name do you hang on folks of color that live off the system and whom do they vote for? Al
  12. I can figure out very well when someone is trying to do some duping as you put it and you are a prime example of a duper! Al
  13. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out, all one has to do is look at the vote on legislation and who stands for what, that and AR out and out bragging makes it pretty easy. Al
  14. Yes being a hunting dog breeder and trainer for over fifty years and doing some small scale farming on the side all this Democrat backed animal rights stuff I come up with is all a figment of my imagination! Al Animal Agriculture and Purpose-Bred Animals "The best bet for the horses would be to stop betting on the Derby and other horse races, and to stop breeding, racing and killing thoroughbreds altogether" Ingrid Newkirk, Huffington Post, May 5, 2011. Speaking of the HSUS California ballot initiative against egg production: "People know what happened in California, and they know it can happen again and again. They know that no group has passed more ballot measures than we have. They know we have a focused strategy. They know we have a budget of $150 million a year. And they know we're ready for a fight." Wayne Pacelle, president and CEO, Humane Society of the United States, Los Angeles Times, April 7, 2010. "Producing animals for sale is a greedy and callous business in a world where there is a critical and chronic shortage of good homes for dogs, cats, and other animals, and the only "responsible breeders" are ones who, upon learning about their contribution to the overpopulation crisis, spay or neuter their animals, and get out of the business altogether." - PETA, "Animal Rights Uncompromised: There's No Such Thing as a 'Responsible Breeder' - current website "We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. . One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding." Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP of Humane Society of the US, formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Animal People, May, 1993 When asked if he envisioned a future without pets, “If I had my personal view, perhaps that might take hold. In fact, I don’t want to see another dog or cat born.” Wayne Pacelle quoted in Bloodties: Nature, Culture and the Hunt by Ted Kerasote, 1993, p. 266. "[A]s the surplus of cats and dogs {artificially engineered by centuries of forced breeding) declined, eventually companion animals would be phased out, and we would return to a more symbiotic relationship--enjoyment at a distance." Ingrid Newkirk, "Just Like Us? Toward a Notion of Animal Rights", Harper's, August 1988, p. 50. "[Animal] Fancies provide an escape from the real world, a sense of purpose in a lot of purposeless lives, a chance to play God by breeding animals, and a chance to play celebrity by showing them." Phil Maggitti, The Animals' Agenda, December 1991. "Breeders must be eliminated! As long as there is a surplus of companion animals in the concentration camps referred to as "shelters", and they are killing them because they are homeless, one should not be allowed to produce more for their own amusement and profit. If you know of a breeder in the Los Angeles area, whether commercial or private, legal or illegal, let us know and we will post their name, location, phone number so people can write them letters telling them 'Don't Breed or Buy, While Others DIE.'" "Breeders! Let's get rid of them too!" Campaign on Animal Defense League's website, September 2, 2003. "I'm not only uninterested in having children. I am opposed to having children. Having a purebred human baby is like having a purebred dog; it is nothing but vanity, human vanity." Ingrid Newkirk, PeTA's founder and president, New Yorker magazine, April 23, 2003 "Our goal is to make [the public think of] breeding [dogs and cats] like drunk driving and smoking." Kim Sturla, former director of the Peninsula Humane Society and Western Director of Fund for Animals, stated during Kill the Crisis, not the Animals campaign and workshops, 1991 "The bottom line is that people don't have the right to manipulate or to breed dogs and cats ... If people want toys, they should buy inanimate objects. If they want companionship, they should seek it with their own kind," Ingrid Newkirk, founder, president and former national director, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA), Animals, May/June 1993 "My goal is the abolition of all animal agriculture." JP Goodwin, employed at the Humane Society of the US, formerly at Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade, as quoted on AR-Views, an animal rights Internet discussion group in 1996.
  15. My favorite kind of hunting along with some pretty tasty eating, got my rimfires tuned for the task and will hit the timber for sure. Al
  16. Spot on WOLC, as the old saying goes "practice makes perfect", air rifles teach all the necessary skills to be a good shot and teach those lessons for not a whole lot of money. Al
  17. Because of my involvement with hunting dogs the main adversary for me has been HSUS because they have directly affected hunting with dogs throughout the country. They have closed down hunting with Hounds in California for just about everything, Bear, Lion, Bobcat etc. and seriously limited Hound use for hunting in several other western states. I watched them successfully shut down Bear hunting with Dogs right here in NY state. As I previously mentioned they will target what they perceive to be the weakest link and bring on the assault. There were only a few folks that hunted Bear in NY with dogs so they were an easy mark. I myself am no Bear hunter but I got into the fray because I am a big believer that the outdoor sports are all interconnected with each other and as Ben Franklin put well "Hang together or hang separately!" When any part of the outdoor life comes under attack I try my best to help and do something and the excuse I hear sometimes for doing nothing "it don't effect me." That is lame because believe me your turn is coming and they will be after you eventually. We had a good man named Mike Bragman that introduced a Bill to reinstate Bear hunting with dogs, this was over thirty years ago there were no computers and email. We sent letters got on the phones and asked for support from everyone involved in the outdoors. It was a tough fight but we got that bill passed though the gauntlet and on to the Governor's desk and signature who happened to be the first king Cuomo "Mario"! Well guess what, instead of siding with his own people he fell in step with the outside pressure of HSUS and refused to sign it. So there you go! I will end it here because Geenhunter will be getting after me for a long post but believe me there are plenty more incidents of animal rights incursion on our sport, right now "trapping" is their big focus. I have listed a few of their quotes below and one can plainly see their plan of attack and I can tell you all first hand that it works so take them seriously and remember they are Democrats! Al ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "We are going to use the ballot box and the democratic process to stop all hunting in the United States ... We will take it species by species until all hunting is stopped in California. Then we will take it state by state. Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP Humane Society of the US (HSUS), formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Full Cry Magazine, October 1, 1990. "As a matter of principle, The HSUS opposes the hunting of any living creature for fun, trophy, or sport because of the animal trauma, suffering, and death that result." Retrieved April 4, 2012, from the policy statements on HSUS' website “The entire animal rights movement in the United States reacted with unfettered glee at the Ban in England ...We view this act of parliament as one of the most important actions in the history of the animal rights movement. This will energise our efforts to stop hunting with hounds.” Wayne Pacelle, CEO, Humane Society of the US (HSUS), London Times, December 26, 2004 "If we could shut down all sport hunting in a moment, we would." Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP Humane Society of the US (HSUS), formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Associated Press, Dec 30, 1991 "Our goal is to get sport hunting in the same category as cock fighting and dog fighting." Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP Humane Society of the US (HSUS), formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, (Bozeman (MT) Daily Chronicle, October 8, 1991
  18. I have been involved in legislative hunting issues for many years and know how these folks operate, I suggest that the folks here take them seriously. Take a moment to look over what spews proudly from their own mouths. Hunting, Fishing, Farming, Trapping and Pet Ownership all are targets and believe me they are not fooling around. One more thing although they can not publicly endorse any political party because of Tax status, but it is no secret they overwhelmingly support and vote for Democrats and expect and get favors for doing so. http://www.naiaonline.org/naia-library/articles/quotes-from-the-leaders-of-the-animal-rights-movement/
  19. I will say the reason we are seeing the issues of Law and Order being brought up so vigorously in this campaign year is exactly because of what is going on right now which happens to be 2020. There is zero doubt in my mind that crime statistics are going to be much different these past two years compared to those old ones from 2018. Al
  20. I will guarantee the numbers when tallied from 2020 will be showing a much different picture from 2018. Al
  21. Back in the day you sure as Hell did not want to be known as a "Cornholer" , "Bungholer" a term which actually fit the deed better was another used. Gay is another word that was used commonly when I was kid now means something totally different. I played ball with a fellow whose last name is Gay, I am betting he is not too happy these days. The poor guy had a wife that can only be described as a psycho that brow beat him with no mercy. This guy was also a hunter and frequented the sporting goods store I worked in back then. He came in one day with that Wench wife of his in tow and she was squawking up a storm telling him he is not to spend a red cent and to make her point clear she came over to me and started, "under no circumstance was I to sell him anything!!" I in turn yelled over to him just kidding "if she was my wife she would be in a body cast. She really went into orbit then, instead of taking it out on me she ran over to him and got in his face screeching if he ever hit her she would have him arrested! Good Lord!! Al
  22. My best Hunting Dogs were almost always the ones living in my house. Obedience and handling are a couple of things that are on the top of my list when training any dog, when you are around them 24-7 your hunting dog gets to know what is allowed and what is not non stop. Nothing better than a great hunting dog that also handles like a dream. Al
  23. The thread veered off from it's initial subject of gun confiscation because of the accusation we are one issue voters which is far from the truth. "Gun Control" and "Hunting Rights" are a main issue of concern for members of this board because it is after all a hunting board. That being said the laundry list of issues against the radical Democrats is much much more and a few were just were pointed out to show that, I think the thread's content is very good as it exposes some pretty sick thinking and rationale. Al
  24. No way I am dropping it and I am not going to give in an inch when it comes to these people and you are perfect case of someone in denial and does not have a clue LELAND! https://www.grandviewoutdoors.com/lifestyle/10-anti-hunting-organizations
  25. When it comes to animal rights groups and hunting and you think they are going along with any kind of sport hunting ideology you are about as wrong as can be, Hell some of them think it is wrong to own a dog! Make no mistake about it, all of them are out to shut us down PERIOD!!!! I have been in this fight for many years and have seen plenty of erosion, California is the perfect example of Democrat control and it's effects on hunting and shooting, all of it is down in that state big time! Also Europe, I have friends in the hunting dog world over there and watched for years and seen almost all hunting and gun ownership go down the toilet. The AR groups are using many of the same tactic used over there here, it is chip away a little bit at a time starting with the weakest groups. They are sneaky! I belong to have have contributed to many of the organizations below along with NY local organizations. They give a heads up on current legislation and I try to be fully informed of these radical's agendas and how they plan to implement them. One more thing, If they could shut this board down they would do it in an instant! Top 10 Pro-Hunting Organizations NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION. SPORTSMEN’S ALLIANCE. SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL. DUCKS UNLIMITED. NATIONAL WILD TURKEY FEDERATION. QUALITY DEER MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION. ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK FOUNDATION. BOONE AND CROCKETT CLUB. MULE DEER FOUNDATION. PHEASANTS FOREVER.
