I am NOT a bow hunter by any means , yes I have a compound bow and went out one maybe two season's for a total of four times in the woods and did not score ! I bought a Crossbow for the simple reason of taking a Deer of either sex , on my property I'm lucky if I get a DMP every third or fourth year ! Preference Points are a Killer !

Well the Doctor prescribed Indomethacin 50 mg ... one capsule 3 times per day ... took one last evening and another just now (5am) and hope like hell it stops the pain ! Believe it or not I spoke to Social Security on the phone yesterday morning for a pre- planned appointment to get setup for my retirement this fall , hopefully this Gout isn't a harbinger of things to come . I'll be retiring just before Hunting Season kicks in and will definitely need to walk the woods ! Thanks for all the responses , gives me a few good hints to try and control this BS !

Well woke up in the middle of the night and big toe was swollen and throbbing in pain ! Had no clue what it was , took two Advil's and put on some sports cream .... didn't touch and didn't sleep most of the night ! Went to the Emergcare place a couple hours ago and sure enough its the Gout ! I'm over 60 and never had it before , my Dad did and I remember him in lots of pain ! The Doctor prescribed some meds and stated that he takes the same thing and after a couple days it will be gone ! He stated that once I begin feeling it again take one of the pills and it will be gone . Forgive my French .... GOUT SUCKS !

That puts you in the woods at least 4 weeks earlier !
