  1. Taken in Otsego County, was aged at 4 1/2.
  2. Two young bucks going at it, just so happens that I had the spike within 20 yards on opening weekend and the three pointer was 5 yards away from my stand just yesterday, opted to pass on both....hopefully they will bloom into some future bruisers.. Enjoy.
  3. Congrats way to go, nice buck.
  4. Welcome to this great forum. Is that a blacktail buck?
  5. I shoot a matthews switchback XT and love it, matthews in my opinion are top quality bows, their technology and inovations are always in the forefront. One could not go wrong with buying one, on the flipside they are pricey. Like everyone has mentioned and like I did when I was in the market is to try different bows and go with what feels best for YOU.
  6. Heres a picture of a coyote I took years back in NY ( have taken others and fox but did not get them mounted), here is also a bear I took in New Brunswick Canada. Just a side note the deer mounts on either side of the coyote are my fathers and have stood the test of time, the doe was mounted in 1965 and the buck 1970. Attached also are mounts of some mature bucks I have taken through the years. Enjoy.
  7. Toms Taxidermist on Route 209 in Warwasing, NY (spelling?)
  8. Picked up my buck from taxidermist this past weekend.
  9. I'm in 4f, seen lots of does, fawns and young bucks....nothing that tickled my fancy..
  10. Looks like a 20% chance of rain by me for Sat. and Sun., will be a bit on the nippy side....lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's....Time to spark up that wood burning stove....Ahhhhh...cant wait..
  11. Is everyone ready for the bow opener? I'm heading up in the am to get ready, now only if the weather will be nice? Just want to wish all you guys/gals the best of luck and be sure to post pictures of your success. Enjoy and be safe.
  12. be heading up to camp early tommorrow morning...need to make a stop on the way up at the taxidermist to pick up my buck from last season...then heading up to camp to get ready..Just want to wish everyone Good luck and be safe out there...Have lots of fun...
  13. Growalot...that is one neat treehouse, think I would sleep in that as well if I had that setup, it looks very roomy and comfy...Goodluck.... I'm hoping to be in stand 1/2 hr. before sunrise, about 6:30ish.
  14. The night before.......I have not been able to sleep all week....lol good luck to all.
  15. I'm rearing to go....same as you before sunrise I seem to relive past hunts....The only problem I have is that my walk to stand is a long one in the dark...but it would not be bad if it werent for flushing grouse....nothing more makes you crap your pants then a flushing grouse a few feet from you in the pitch black....
  16. One pin only...bow shoots flat out to 25 yards and that the furthest I would shoot at a deer in the woods...
  17. Just an FYI, the ground hog radish can be purchased at your local agway. Theres no need to go to a company and pay higher prices for a fancy bag only to get the same seed.
  18. Geno, how far from the island are you willing to travel? I may have mentioned this to you in the past, but a good local realtor where I found my land was Country Boy Realty has some great properties and prices are competitive. I think you will learn that some realtors are showing realistic prices per acre and others tend to over inflate prices to turn a larger profit. Market prices per acre between different realtors within a same area can be staggering. Start with Country Boy Realty if Deleware and Otsego counties are in your search area.
