  1. I'll trade your 100 RT for my 360....I feel your pain, but either way I had some nice deer on my cams, but never saw anything in daytime hours
  2. Good for you !!!! What makes people think they can trespass, they think their entitled to go anywhere just because they have a license and see deer somewhere
  3. All, Crap end to a crap weekend and season On my way home from a friends place after hunting and my car boke down. I left it at Chucks on corner of Rt 209/Sullivan St in Wurtsboro NY. Just want to see if he is reputable, not that I have much choice. It's definately transmission. Thankfully my buddy was just ahead of me in his own truck so we off loaded all my belongings except my quad and trailer and left my vehicle to be repaired. I live on LI and this is going to suck big time, especially w/ Christmas 3 weeks away...
  4. I'll be out there too, have not had any luck in my "old faithful" spots. Got an invite to a new place from a friend and hope it works out. Good Luck to all
  5. took me 15 years to get a buck, but some of those years I did not put a ton of time or effort into it, however that 1st buck was a beautiful 8 pointer which I shot w/ my dad at my side, something I'll never forget. Now I put a ton of time and effort and I agree w/ LI outdoorsman and agree with his % of 10/10/80, but to me it's also about being out in the field doing what you enjoy. Getting a buck is icing on the cake, be patient it will happen. Enjoy
  6. waist /fanny pack, dicks has them for 40ish ( I think its F&S brand). I got one for myself after I bought one for my son and was jealous. Holds a ton of stuff....even binos for 3 doors down
  7. crime scene/fire line/ police tape, LOL
  8. Swore I would never do it, but was at the in laws in Huntington, and target had deal on Go- pro which son wanted $ 264 w/ a $50 instant gift card, and beats head pones for daughter $ 99 - $ 50 instant card which I used immediately. Was in and out in 15 mins, no lines, no waiting, no idiots. Hunrting out east LI tomorow, hope everyone had a great day, enjoy the weekend !!!!
  9. Looking forward to seeing the pics.....he will recover it
  10. ahhhh, OK. Thanks Wildcats, did not look yet today. Good luck
  11. Hope all the members here from western NY are safe from the snow storm that happened yesterday, Weather channel showed houses/cars buried, I know many of you are used to it but stay safe anyway !!!
  12. Wow, I cant even fathom that happening. Lock him up and dont let him out in the woods again. Idiots like this give us all a bad name
  13. Congrats young man, what a great experience.
  14. Key reader replaced last week, tumbler replaced 8 mos ago , unsure what the prob is now, but seems electrical in nature. Are you a mechanic?
  15. Well instead of being upstate where I should be, I'm back on Long Island. Long story short, I was having car problems which I thought were fixed 2 weeks ago, well when I got up this morning my car would not start ( ignition/ electrical problem) finally got her to go, hunted the morning, then could not get it started when I left the woods, finaly got it again and went back to the house. Over and over no luck, when I got it to start at around 2pm, I reluctantly headed home. Leaving car there was not an option, nor was a ride home etc....have to work monday. Needless to say, I am pissed/ upset/ angry and any other negative thing you could think of. I WISH ALL OF MY FELLOW Hunting NY members the best of luck and more importantly a SAFE opening weekend, I will be living vicariously through you all this weekend, and please post up pics for me !!!!! Thanks
  16. I had a woman come and pick apples off my tree last year while I was doing some clean up work in early October. When I approached her, and said this was private property she said she only needed a few for her apple pie and these were the best looking apples she's ever seen, I told her that she had some nerve, and would she appreciate if I did the same on her property ? She gave me a dumb a$$ look, got in her car and drove off.
  17. All prior posters.......wishing better health for all of your dad's, and Zemmer's mom too Mine will still be out with me THANK GOD !!!!, although he just turned 80 he's still in great shape, but has slowed down a bit. I realize how important our Dad's are to each and every one of us and I will not take for granted that I get to share some time in the woods with him. Good luck to everyone and keep making those memories and carry on your traditions
  18. Thank you to all on this site who served, and are serving now ! I look forward to hunting w/ my dad this upcoming weekend, he always tells me a few stories about his days in the Navy, ( Japan, Phillipines, and the Korean War) although I have heard many of them, I appreciate hearing them again and more importantly appreciate being able to hunt with him.
