Been a bit busy so I never fully put together my 2014 project. All was complete a long time ago, and finally mounted etc yesterday. I am pleased with the outcome and it will look nice in my man cave

Congrats to you and your wife. Great birds, story and memories

People who do this, and other type of littering in the woods have no respect. Carry in carry out does not even cross their mind. The fact that beer/drinking is so important to some people that they must drink and hunt is disturbing to me. Please dont think that I am a saint, I like beer, but as with anything, there is a time and a place.

Who has a trail camera out in this snow?
Big Indian replied to genesee_mohican's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
I have 2 out they are Moultries , pulled the cards last week, (empty, except for the occasional snow storm) used my snow shoes to go get them. I was surprised the batteries survied the very cold temps, I will check in another month, got to get warm soon. -
So sorry, that sucks. I know how much I love mine and would be devistated too. They are FAMILY. If you have not already read it, go get a book called "A dogs purpose" by W. Bruce Cameron, it's amazing.

Lots of luck and happy, safe hunts with it. I am looking at one also. Maybe with my tax return.....

I "know" this guy and he is a complete LOON. He lives in the neighborhood, approx 58- 60 yrs old and still living at home w/ mommy. Enough said.... He's a tree hugger, who routinely attends village/ town meetings to complain about everything and anything related to progress and cutting down trees, roadkill problems etc, etc, etc. Approximately 3 years ago my fire department needed to build/ upgrade a small, out of date ,and unsafe for the firefighters, station nearby to this crazy persons home. He fought tooth and nail to have this project stopped .He was thrown out of the court and made a complete ass of himself numerous times throughout the process saying that we were trying to build a 24/7/365 firehouse.....( since when is the fire service not 24/7/365 ?) He went so far as to stand in the way of responding fire apparatus trying to make his case. BTW, to no avail. The firehouse was built. I could go on and on, however when I saw the article I laughed and said he's at it again. He has a facebook page and some other websites that show pics of "poor road kill" and trees being eliminated etc... CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY......

Hello All, 2 questions- 1. Has anyone ever taken the online course ? Any feedback? 2. Once complete, does the student need to do a "field class" ? My daughter is going to do the online class and I was just wondering.(I plan on looking over her shoulder to give some insight on the material etc) Thanks.

What is it ??

I totally agree w/ Ants. I have been using the 835 since the early 90' too it's been very good to me and not so good for the lives of the turkeys who dared to get within range.

Thanks all, for the comments/ compliments, much appreciated Ants- IDK if I can take him any more...haha Wildcats 160- I agree, I played many sports, never wrestled, these kids are tough as nails every single one of them win or lose they go on that mat and give it their all

My son qualified for the Nassau County Wrestling Championship Tournament at Hofstra Universty this coming weekend. He worked his ass off this wrestling season, missed some hunting trips ( not without an argument) I am so proud of him. 5 of his teammates also qualified for their weight class. My son is 99#. Good luck to all these hard working boys !

Big Indian replied to phade's topic in Muzzleloaders
This is awesome, I would love to partake, my son is 16 and wants to have a ML. I'm too far away to entertain the thought. I commend you for this selfless act of kindness, and as the new cliche says "paying it forward" -

I substituted a venison roast for the pork. Tonights dinner. This is delicious. Enjoy ,I highly recommend it. 2 to 3 pounds pork roast 1 cup diced onion 2 Tablespoon minced garlic ¼ cup honey ½ cup ketchup ½ cup soy sauce ½ cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds 15 ounce can crushed pineapple ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes After cooked 3 Tablespoon cornstarch ¼ cup cold water Instructions Spray slow cooker with cooking spray and place roast in the bottom. In a small bowl combine diced onion, garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, pineapple and red pepper flakes. Mix well and pour over the roast. Cook on LOW for about eight hours until pork is completely cooked through. Remove roast and place in a large bowl. Mix cornstarch and water together in a small bowl and slowly pour into the liquid remaining in the slow cooker. Stir until it is well incorporated and cover with the lid. With two forks pull the pork until it is all shredded. Return meat to the slow cooker and stir in with the sauce. You can serve this over rice or in a sandwhich with a slice of grilled pineapple.
