  1. I don't see anything tying the two together in a formal bill at all.
  2. Bob is great people!! Congrats on the hunt.
  3. http://reason.com/blog/2016/01/04/new-york-legislators-propose-another-une
  4. I saw two nice racks that were still attached two nights ago. Can be any time from now on. I've seen them still attached in late March. And always happy to assist anyone I can. Most on here are the same. Just because we don't see eye to eye on a couple topics doesn't mean we don't share quite a few with the past time we all live. I was serious about buying the beers. Would like to discuss some of the topics face to face.
  5. If you run cameras all winter it will give a good clue. We don't have any snow here so maybe I'll go out this week

  7. Ok. Let me know when and where. I'll buy the beer
  8. Thinking you probably wouldn't enjoy it that much.
  9. It's 2017. Try a resolution of not being a douchebag in a he coming year. Get over yourself.
  10. Reading way too much hi to my comment. The bow course would be of more use in the education.
  11. Whatever differences there may be mechanically between a cross bow and the long/compounds. The applicable course is the bow course. It doesn't make sense to have a third course. Shot placement, tracking, setting up for the hunt. It's the same as bow.
  12. A certificate to crossbow hunt and no bow course is crazy. It should be a bow course to do it.
  13. I do but for a different reason than bow season. Gun season does account for the most of my doe take but it is because of the tradition of it. The deer camp social aspect. I grew up since 8 in the gun woods with my father, uncles and cousins. Many great memories with them. The bow hunting is more of a solo endeavor. It's more serious if that make sense
  14. Funny how thing is I do bow hunt. I live to bow hunt. I have no intentions of buying a crossbow unless it opened up more opportunity to hunt. I scout hard. Hunt hard and look for bucks 3.5 or older. I also gun hunt. Difference between you and me. I won't let anyone else's choices dictate my satisfaction or happiness. Their legal choices are theirs. The won't change how or why I hunt. So I am all for them having what they are happy with.
  15. Actually I think your approach and vocal opinions geared at cutting others down frame you as the type that give sportsmen a bad name.
  16. Well there is some proof of the blind squirrel concept.
  17. Didn't say you did Grow. It is the picture that many of those opposing inclusion would have us think though. And I posted the Ohio harvest numbers since since 2002 and it seems pretty level except for a couple years.
  18. I saw a lot of daytime movement the last two weeks of bow and the first week of gun. The crossbows are legal now in the last two weeks and I haven't seen the "stampedes" of evil gun hunters hitting the woods.
  19. Just make sure it is sized right. Too small is restrictive and too loose won't keep them warm. I used a 7mm thickness. make sure there is a flap under the zipper so that hair doesn't get caught in the zipper.
  20. I think the main point is, that regardless of what weapons are legal, there are scum that will poach. Any weapon changes won't change that.
  21. Put her in a neoprene vest. You can always take it off but I would start out with it. My grandaps favorite saying. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it an not have it. I use to run one on my springer all winter for upland becasue his coat was so fine.
  22. Well I guess there is no engaging you in an actual conversation.
