I was gonna say the buck was too small to be from in there...lol

Was that right in the park?

That is what happens when the doe population is so crazy high that they cant get the breeding done in the first or even second rut.

It is two 200+/- parcels. They are across the street from one another. It is a good mixture of evergreens hardwood and thick thick brush. About 100 acres of it are fields. I have a couple small parcels that act much like you describe though. If you could get those neighbors in a co-op it would really improve.

You might be over pressuring your private land then. How big is it? Me and a buddy the last day of ML SZ saw 15 deer. took 4 does. Passed 2 bucks. We sat all day from sun up to sun down and only got out of the blinds to gut the deer. The deer were taken at about 10 am (2 out of a group of 4), one out of a group of 3 at 1 pm and a single at 4pm. The property owners take a low impact approach during the season.

I am not saying the info sucks. It is accurate. I just think that leaving the trend out of it to paint a specific picture of doom and gloom is a little disingenuous and isn't putting out all the information.

Check out the parcels in southern region 7. many a day I don't even hear any shots after the first weekend.

Conveniently left out the fact of THAT number going down every year recently.

Personally I don't care if they fully include the crossbow, but I would like to see the antlerless and either sex tags go away if they do. That removes the concern you voiced. manage ALL antlerless take through the lottery and then it is at least allocated in the correct areas and all hunters have the same shot at drawing one.

Are you kidding me!!...

It has good nutritional value and deer will eat it. Why would you beat yourself up to get rid of it? -

So in you opinion the reason they are the same is because they are both boycotts? -

Just so I understand. you voted for Obama because Bush (who wasn't even running) took us into the war? and you do know he wasn't in office to vote for or against the invasion? He didn't get into national office until 2004, i think. the invasion was 2003+-. he did constantly say he didn't support the war but voted in favor of every budget for it. -

Huge difference and you really know it. UA is a sporting apparel supplier including hunting clothing. They dropped her becasue of a legal hunting activity. The LL Bean boycott is becasue of a Trump donation of ONE of the owners and in fact both candidates received donations. -

There is no question that he had them in his hands at one time. He used them on his own people, the Kurds in 88. -

I figured you must be since you oppose Trump. I saw the word used so frequently towards those that opposed Obama because of his policies and action. Were they wrong? -

Should the members of Congress that voted to do it be brought up on charges as well? -

Presidential Sabotage?

What i find comical is the left uses the points that the intelligence behind the decisions for the war should have been discounted becasue it was in error but then turn around and hop on their soap box about the same departments' "information" about Trump and want that held as gospel. -

And don't forget the bath they have taken at the state level with historical losses of Governors and state representatives -
lets see if we can get an admin to sticky the form here. I am going to send mine certified mail to assure it will get there, but no way I am sending it early. I'd rather spend the cash to send it certified and do it last minute. This wouldn't be a one time thing either. If we got a ton of permit holders on board, they would be a barrage every 5 years

Listen everyone. Stop using "county" in this thread. If what you are going to say uses the word "county" I'd had NOTHING to do with what is going on for this. Counties have nothing to do with their his recertification.

What kind of dog for birds
Culvercreek hunt club replied to cynthiafu's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
I can't agree more with your first sentence. That is HUGE!!! Also if you do look into Springers look heavily into the true English Field lines. Their trials are fur and feather. The last Springer I had was not only an outstanding bird dog but would flush rabbits like a champ. he wasn't very soft in his mouth on a rabbit though for some reason. I use to take him up north to start snowshoes for a dog my uncle had. She was a GREAT runner but couldn't start a rabbit to save her life. No matter what you decide, I can't think of a better bet that a hunting companion. -

I am a little partial to the Springers becasue I owned 2. But I would really ask yourself what type of hunting would you prefer to do. hunting behind a flusher like a Springer or a Lab is a whole different hunt than behind a pointer like a Brit, setter or GSHP
