A week or two off before bow opens will let them return to some sort of normal. I see it in just the week after gun prior to the ML weekend. Might even wise up the 1.5 year old bucks a bit prior to the bow or gun regular opener -

That is what is said in their 2012 management plan. Muzzleloader -
What distances do you set your pins at?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to jrussell's topic in Bow Hunting
one pin on an adjustable mount. I keep it at 25 normally and it is point and shoot to 30. -
Larry, Who was in talking for the DEC?

And since there are a higher number of unsuccessful GUN hunters, it would make sense to expand the gun hunting opportunity to make the best use of this untapped resource. That is why I mentioned a Two week mid September gun season. EXPAND THE OPPORTUNITIES, not reduce them. -

So I use my tags during bow and don't have them for gun. Percentage shifts but the same number of deer hit the deck. -

I keep seeing this and also from the DEC. I can't make the numbers make sense in my head though. Personally I think they are taking a stat and making it sound like they wish since, IMO, the bowhunters are also gun hunters. So if they take doe during gun it is counted as a gun take in those %'s. I guarantee their numbers do NOT look at the hunters that do both. -
To me the Ethics holds no mater the size of the employer. Problem with our county currently is so many are OK with operating in the Gray area and can see black and white.

Stubby. The permit allocation numbers are NOT the desires take numbers. They factor in that not every hunter is successful and issue more permits than they believe will be filled. They just never divulge their mystery formula -

Well is you go back to their 2012 /2016 management plan if this doesn't work then phase three is on the way. An early ML season. -

There aren't enough bow hunters to get the numbers down. Phade actually posted take numbers in one of these threads. if it tripled the take it wouldn't make a dent. The most prevalent weapon in the areas impacted is a gun, not a bow. do you hunt in any of the WMU's that have this happening? -
Yeah. knew you would be able to make it with closed cell. Just figured it was a cost option to negotiate with to go glass and rigid.
-
gotta have an air space about the insulation so usually they only go 8-1/2" in the 9-91/2" rafter space. If you can find 38 to fit that I would look at 2" rigid foam attached to the underside of the rafters and that would give you 48. It would be a price comparison to the spray foam anyway.
-
Is code saying 46 for the entire ceiling/roof structure or you need that in insulation? I know you can get 8-1/4" for your rafters that is HD and has 30. some of the 2" rigid will get you 10, maybe more. Then nail the T&G on. but that is only 40.

is you inside ceiling in yet?

I think for anyone that is set on taking a mature animal they will eat it as they have done in other years. It's really the guys on the fence that this may have just pushed back. IMO -
how much space is up there?

In these areas the "Either sex" tag is only good for an antlerless in the late season. So many will se it as a "use it or lose it" by November 20th. Now if they have a fist full of other doe tags, what will that tag be used on? -

Really depressing when The group that I am in, in the effected areas, have been trying to use education to show the benefits of letting 1.5's walk and then in the swipe of the pen it is back to ground zero. -

I have to read the regs but I believe that the regular season tag can still be used in 8G but ONLY for antlerless. -

in 8H you could get two on regular draw, two on late left overs (they never give them all out) and two signed over. Then the either sex if you buy your first special privilege and an antlerless only with your second special privilege. Then your regular season tag could have been used as either sex in late season.
