When I took the dummy off and put my broadhead on, I didn't mark which one. That is a good suggestion. I didn't shoot all 3 arrows with broadheads. Just pulled 1 and did the shoot and retreive routine because I didn't feel like resharpeneing all 3 broadheads. I will shoot all 3 tomorrow and see if they pattern.

There supposed to be identical. I called grim reaper and they also claimed they should shoot identical. I suppose they could be different, but I am talking 10" at just 25 yards. That is a ton of difference.

Not my peep. Marked it. it hasn't moved. Also, field tips are dead on where I sighted them. When my peep has moved, my field tips were off.

i have been shooting fantastic groups with my field tips all summer. My Grim Reaper broad heads come with a fake broad head to practice with. Shot that several times and hit in the same group as my field tips. I was ready to roll on Monday. For the hell of it, I whipped out the real broadhead and shot it and it hit WAY high and left. Thought it was me so I kept shooting and same thing from all yards. What the hell would cause your field tip and practice broadhead hit perfect and your real one not be close?? I am bewildered now and have one day to figure this out. I could resight my bow, but how would you practice then cuz my field tips wouldn't be close???. Ughhhh

Funny, I was going to post this same question. How do you eliminate the tubing?

It was super tight when it was installed. I could barely move it for adjustments without tremendous effort. Now, it moves quite a bit easier. Wasn't sure if I was missing something. I will just mark it I guess. Thanks

My peep site keeps sliding a bit and throwing my aim off. I have had to resight my bow twice now this week. Has this happened to anyone else before? Any common fixes for getting that thing to stay in place!!

Hey, squirrels like nuts! He was probably pretty dissapointed when he arrived

you have fuzzy math: Brows - 20" (total) G2s - 20" (total) G3" - 12" (total) Main Beams - 46" (total) Spread - 20" (total) That is 118", not 95" that you suggest. Plus 36" of mass, gives you 154", not 131". I agree, he is not 154" because he doesn't have 10" 1's and 2's, but he is 140" for sure.

Found out who is stealing my corn stalks.... Caught em!

that is pretty cute. -
I don't eat raw chicken. That whole cooking thing works pretty well

I believe in the organic thing. I family buys almost everythign organic. don't confuse "free range" with "organic." Whether or not they are allowed to walk free, doesn't speak to the growth hormones, anti-biotics and all the other shit they pump animals with. it is quite disgusting. As far as fruits and veggies, not having all the chemical laden fertilzers and pestisides is a big deal. I really don't care so much for me, but my 2 little kids at home I care a whole lot. You would all be very surprised at what you ingest!! Funny thing is, my wife, who is big on the free range and organic meat, won't eat deer. LMAO. Doesn't get any more free range or organic than that!!

After this post I went out and read reviews on commercial sites (like Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc.). People really seem to like them. There were well over 100 reviews of the product and i would say 95% + wrote favorable responses. I think, like any product, it is all preference. One guy loves one thing and hates another thing and someone else is excactly opposite.

right, that is how my new bow is. I started a topic thead on siting it in since my old bow was slow as mollasses. I have 1 pin that shoots from 0-35 yards. 2nd pin for 35-45 and a 3rd for 50+. I like the idea of having a "tree stand" pin. I have 2 other pins I don't use on my Tru-glow site. I just have them slid all the way to the bottom out of the way.
-
Thats a rather clever idea. As long as in the heat of the moment with buck fever, knees shaking, palms sweating, you don't start wondering what the hell your pins are...lmao.

Like I posted, just don't cut into the brain cavity. It is not contained in the blood supply or the guts!
-
You guys rock! Thanks. I set up a tree stand in my back yard and practiced out of it today. Can only shoot 30 yards in my yard but it was good practice. The yardage was dead on. And, I get the "bend at the waste" thing. On a longer shot that's not much of a factor, but on a close one I can see that could be a big deal!! Thanks again.

I was told by a wildlife biologist that as long as you don't cut into the brain cavity, it is a non-issue. I don't eat brains, so I'm good.
-
Believe it or not, I leave that one up all season. Put it up once and take it down once. Lasted years! That is why I am sad if finally died on me.
-
So, the question is, what IS the common issue when shooting from a tree stand? Is it breaking form to shoot down, thus throwing off your eye angle? If so, what do you do to mentally avoid that when the time comes to let it fly?
