  1. Sit back in that recliner on a nice day would make for a nice nap!
  2. Eddie, Happy birthday, Enjoy the day!
  3. I enjoyed that, hell you can be eating an egg sandwich on the porch and blast one of those big bucks!
  4. Here a re a couple of mine. Last one i the biggest a 140 class buck. I have seen some big deer and have had the opportunity to shoot but missed. I missed a giant 150 at my BIL house and the same on my property. It's what keeps us coming back year after year.
  5. Those are some really cool picts. Don't know if I would be comfortable with my kids and those big bucks. Love to check it out.
  6. Nice mount, that is one trophy I hope to have hanging at the cabin one day.
  7. Honestly the big ones I have seen have been in the morning and late afternoon. That is not to say I don't think the big boys cruise at mid day. My percentages heavily outweigh mid-day.
  8. My boys on the cabin wall. The last photo is the 140 class buck was taken 2 years ago on the property by my brother. Fins to Feathers did the mount-real nice. Try this again. Deer on left 125 3/4 PY buck. Middle deer 4+ year old deer 21 3/4 spread. He actually had cardboard wadding from a shot in his skin. It was a lump on his leg I cut open and couldn't believe what was in there. He also had a mended broken front leg the joint was the size of a softball. Deer on the right was a 2.5 year old deer with a real unique rack. My friend shot this deer two weeks prior to me getting it. He hit it low below the stomach. Never did much damage. This is the deer I hit in the liver and found 7 hrs later. The only reason we found it was that the crows were starting to peck at the wound and were causing a ruckes and we investigated.

  10. Wooly, You never disappoint! Glad your back, I love the picts. That is some story about the fawn. I don't know something like that happen to me and I just may lay down my arms-yea I'm a softy.
  11. Couple of low variegated holly bushes, Penn wall stone filled with perennials. Best thing you get it all on sale this weekend! Looks nice John.
  12. Never heard about it, I use code blue scent and like it.
  13. It's all in the eye of the beholder. WNYBH is not off base. Just his opinion and I think he stated that. Wilki you posted your work and of course that means its open to discussion. I like the mount but think the face is a bit over-done. Overall it is a real nice mount, you do nice work. I have a 10 pt Pope and Young deer I had mounted. It was at the time the head molds just started coming with muscle detail a bit more than needed. I had the deer mounted by a very respectable taxidermist. It came back and probably 75 % of the guys that saw it didn't like it. I loved it because it was a bit different than the classic shoulder mount. I remember that 10 point with a bigger neck and less muscle detail, the mount has just the opposite. I didn't bitch and moan because I really liked how unique it looked. It's all in the eye of the beholder!
  14. Very nice, I see he really respects what he hunts and treasures each as a trophy!
  15. My ex and kids still don't have power in Huntington Bay. They say maybe by the EOD or tomorrow.
  16. Had a custom shed built, 12 by 18. I keep the quad, mower and trailer in there plenty of room. Matches my cabin and doesn't look junky.
  17. I have a bunch of trees also. They are very old and looks like they never got trimmed. Branches growing in crazy directions. I wouldn't know where to start?
  18. a redesign, I'll chime in after I take a look around.
  19. Just started to kick up here in Enorthport. Noticed the wind gusting a bit and a some heavy rain. I hope I'm snoring away when the worst hits!
  20. Fireworks are illegal in NY but we all at some point have had them or been a part of a private celebration that has had them. I think the law is the law and to sell that stuff over the counter here in NY is wrong. Sure you can get it on the internet but not being able to buy it in your local feed or sporting good store should light that little bulb in your head that it's illegal. Also it would be very easy for retailers on a web site to ask that you check your game laws before purchasing.
