  1. I think it's a crap shoot! As long as there is no tractors and such blowing smoke I think your fine. I know one thing, when I hunt near a cow farm I always walk in the cow poop in the field prior to getting to my stand. Deer are used to that for sure.
  2. Funny Doe! I want to buy one to figure out who is letting their dog crap on my lawn!
  3. We set up some stands in Vermont this weekend. Pretty big woods we were in and my friend had the Delorme gps. It works great. Don't know what model.
  4. I remember having a setup at the cabin and you could only view the picts via the TV. So we took picts of the deer off of the TV with cell phones. There is a reason for everything, especially when your at camp and limited sometimes.
  5. Got two for 8P. Seems it is in a bit of decline. Do hear way to many yotes in the area.
  6. I also think that without a mandatory checking system this will always happen. Years ago we would have to stop at two check points along rt 17, on our way home to Long Island. Today you breeze on by no checks. Hell, we had two bucks on top of the truck two years ago parked at a gas station. Trooper pulled in right along side of us and didn't pay any mind to us. Give people and inch, and they will take a foot!
  7. I you were a horny buck what would you rather have one doe or many????? Code Red baby!
  8. Bagged two in 8P, that is my brother and I. One land owner other lottery.
  9. They have a place in Guilford right near Brattleboro. Got back last night. Boy are those woods big! They are bordered by 4 properties. We found some good sign, droppings and old rubs. Very hard to pick out runs but I think I have him on a couple that may produce a shot. Great log cabin we had a wonderful time. Went into Brattleboro for dinner and saw that some places were still shut down from the flooding.
  10. The kid I mentor from Jersey has a new place in Vermont. Going up with him and his dad to set up a couple of tree stands. Big woods some fields. Will be looking for some type of food source to hang the stands around. This is the first year for him hunting it. Should be nice, log cabin 56 acres.
  11. Elmo's in, way to go buddy!
  12. Now you gone a done it! That's what you yelled out when you got the clap-!!!!!!!!CODE RED!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Yea you guys are nasty little pests that want to put a hurt'en on my doe population. Watch'em Elmo, once you get'em you can't get rid of'em.
  14. Elmo remember when you got your tongue stuck to the flag pole?? Don't do it-these guys are bullies.
  15. Here I am quoting myself. Well I placed an order at Sportsmans warehouse and it came last night. When I opened the package there was a bottle of code red! Boy do I feel stupid. Brain fart! Let you know how I like it, at least I don't snort it! lol Elmo
  16. It amazes me how big some of these stands are. Not until I bought my place 4 years ago did I see these super structures out in the woods. I have three built on my property by the previous owner. One of them is huge and kind of rotting out so we don't use it. The other two are nice box blinds not high off the ground. These are some great looking and comfortable stands!
  17. Geno I see what you mean. Sometimes the picture doesn't tell the whole story. This thing is massive when you see the mount in person. It was scored soon after harvest, I don't know what type of deduction you make for shrinkage? 2-3 pts? If so 137 and change. Thanks guys!
  18. Steve, That picture just says it all about Fall! Nice place, I can feel that day soon upon us!
  19. John, Yes there is a lot of fields. That is corn all around the cabin. Behind me is a 20 acre field that borders my woods. I lease it out to a farmer that really knows what he is doing. He puts into the soil as much as he gets out, if you know what I mean. We put in some small food plots but with all those eats out there it's tough. My girls love it up there. We have plated over the years seedlings from NYS Saratoga nursery, each of my girls has planted their own area and calls it their woods. Sharing it with your kids completes the whole picture!
  20. Wow, glad your OK-don't know if the cam was worth your life though?
