Opening day there 9 trucks parked around me at a piece of state land. On thanks giving I tried a different spot letchworth and only seen 4 vehicles. And yesterday I went back to the same state land from opening day and there was 7 trucks. People are hitting thestateland hard in freedomom/centerville

I sat in a new stand this morning in letchworth sat until noon didn't see anything I get to my truck for aquick break and not even 10 minutes latter I see a doe coming off of my trail I put on a stalk she wals right into another guy who's setting up his climber wham he shoots her walks over and says dam I just grazed her there was hair every where. I go back to my truck and head fo my stand at 1 and come across blod every where I follow it and up jumps the guys doe with her stomach dragging on the grund I start trying to gain ground on it to put it out of its misery and I hear 2 quick shots a cop chased it into the woods and put it out of its misery then said if you have a doe tag you can have her then he just left. Point of the story the guy who shot hr with the bow only needed to walk 50 yards or so and he would find blood every where. What an a hole

the big game xl to me is the most comfortable hang on stand an enormous platform and foot rest with a big mesh seat i love it. ive been using them for a few years now last year i found a website that had them for $60 with free shipping i wish i wouldve bought more. how much are the muddy stands im always looking to buy and try new hang on stands

thank you 16 gauge i like hearing that there are deer there and its a mixture of hrdwood and brush i love hunting the thick areas thats where i always seem to have my best luck

does anyone here hunt darien lake state land? if so can you tell me how it is ive never hunted there but i work in depew off transit and figure its only a 20-30 minute drive from my work i was thinking about getting a left over permit on thursday and checking it out incase i get out of worrk early during gun season at all.

on weekends when im gonna hunt both days i drive out by myself and usually sleep in my truck or toss my hammock in a tree i dont have a camp that i stay at so to pass the time after the afternoon hunt and in between when im gonna go to sleep ill usually stop at the bar for some dinner and a drink some times its just the one drink and other times its more.

a couple times a year i get shnit faced at the bar while out in the country i just park in the far back of the parking lot pass out in my truck and back in my stand in the morning just remember to wear your safety harness and strap into the tree or get in the fetal position and pass back out at the bottom of your tree lol

the rain has let up here im gonna leave work a little early today bring the bucket truck home and tarp off the up stairs until later this week when it drys then im definitely gonna roll the upper porch. i had a sheet of luan on in my basement so last night i put 2 constuction garbage bags over it and put it on the porch where i thought the leak was coming from i think that helped a little. good luck mussy i hope it didnt cause much damage really sucks when you find out theres a leak in the middle of the storm by then its to late to do anything and really sucks. on a good note i think this weather might make hunting really good later this week/weekend

just spent the past hour up stairs trying to stop the rain from getting under my brother inlaws screen door and on to the new carpet then come down stairs and my wife says look at the ceiling yep a line of water on my nice new ceiling that i had done a year ago the upper porch is leaking a little all summer long i told my self to by some henrys and rool the roof and never did this sucks
