A&E is just following the liberal/politically correct hand book. If your opinion doesn't fit the lib. view point you're all done. TOLERANCE LOL!!!!!!!!! Who's the one being discriminated against here??????

I haven't butchered my own deer in a while (too lazy) but I use to use Russell knives that I got at a local restaurant supply store. Pricey but very good quality. I still use them in the kitchen. I have a fillet and a chefs knife. Good stuff.

I kind of hope that this was a 15 year old kid that posted this, because at least there is still hope for him -
In fact I just took it out of the box and shot it. didn't oil it or anything

The caption defines the whole post...Just another childish loser. What can you do???? -
I like the idea. It would give me a chance to break out my old side lock that I haven't fired in years.

But as the law stands, right now, ex felons, rapists etc. are not able to legally have guns, but since they have no regard for the law, they illegally obtain guns anyway. So if a law abiding citizen wants to have/carry a gun to protect them selves from such people, I have zero problem with it. PS I carry every single day.

Or the bad guys can wear t-shirts or something that says "i'm a bad guy criminal" that way we can just avoid them.
-
They already do. As well as knives, clubs and what ever else they can use to victimize people. Thats why good guys should carry guns , if they choose to.

My 2 best stands are both right at the edge of where thick, nasty cover starts to open up into hard woods. One spot is on top of a ridge that looks down into hardwoods. Thick overgrown apple trees about 50yds. to the right and thick cedars 50yds to the left. The other stand is at the edge of thick apples and brush, that breaks out into open hardwoods that lead into a field. Both spots produce bucks most years. But not this year. Tags are marinading as we speak.

Im not worried about other hunters horning in, I just don't want my wife to find me……….. -
Cold, snowy and real high winds here. I went out yesterday for a few hours and it was brutal. I did cut some fresh tracks though.

If your main reason for buying a new pistol, is to target shoot then I would say a .22 is your best bet. You can shoot all day for a few bucks.
-
Yeah …. a friend wanted some .308 for target shooting and said that he couldn't find any. … I noticed that Gander (Cicero) had a lot of 7.62x51 and thought that he could just use that. But then I got to talking to a guy, at my wife's x-mas party, who got into case thickness, pressure, powder blah..blah blah .. barometric pressure.. wind speed, the price of tea in china….ya know.
-
Can you use 7.62x51 in a rifle chambered for .308? I have always thought "yes" but have recently been told by a gun "@#$#" no. I can admit to being wrong, so give t to me straight..
-
The Ruger American "compact " Is a cut down version of the standard American and its available in all standard hunting calibers including .308, 7mm-08, .243…. Excellent, accurate rifle for around $400.00 It would be my #1 choice.

A guy in our party, shot a nice piebald doe about 15 years ago.Since then he has taken……I don't know how many nice bucks. So I can't buy the Karma/mojo thing. But, once again, it's your tag, so fill it with the deer you want. I saw the same piebald the prior weekend, but it was to far to shoot and I would have shot it, no problem.
-
A buck, before the end of late ML season would be nice.

I see way more ticks on deer in the 9x area than I do on deer I take around my home, in 7F. This year, in 9x, we took 4 deer and they were crawling with them. I found about 5 on me, because we hung the deer to close to the front door to the camp. Theres not much you can do, just keep checking yourself and hang deer well away from you.

I have always used Hoppes #9 and/or Hoppes copper solvent. I let the solvent sit in the bore for a good 10min. then run patches through until the come out clean, them finnish up with a thin coat of gun oil down the bore. Wipe down the metal with an oily (not too much oil) rag.
