I remember one episode of that Foxworthy show were the owner of the ranch took his son in law out. They were crouched at the corner of some brush glassing a bunch of big racked bucks eating at a feeder, in a road, to their left. The deer looked to be a couple hundred yrds. away.They decided to pass on the deer, got upand crossed the road right infront of the deer. When the camara panned back you realize that the deer were only about 50 yards and never moved when the two appeared. Like they are so use to seeing people by the feeders that they are tame. It was LAME

IMHO the PPK is the best .380 out there. I'm sure the .40 will be just as good and reliable. Wish I knew about it sooner I would have checked it out'

A few years ago I talked to a guy that worked on the boarder (Boarder Patrol as I recall) he was also a firearms instructer. Mexican Police would come over the boarder, to Qualify whith their hand guns, and on more than one occasion their guns would turn out to be stolen from the U.S. This whole Mexico thing is beyond FUBAR

Anyone ever check out the ammo prices at Herb Philipsons? I dont get in there much, but I stopped in the other day ( to check out a Saiga 223) and their prices are pretty good. A box of Federal 22-250 that I got for $21 at Dick's & Gander sells for $24 was only $18,regular price. I checked out Remington 30-06 and 7mm and It was pretty cheap too. All their ammo is behind the counter and I did'nt want to bug the guy too much or I would have compared more.

I carried a Walther ppk for over 25years. One of the best functioning most reliable guns I have ever seen. I can run mag after mag of staggered ammo and never have any type of failure. I have no idea how many rounds i've put through it but never a fail. Last year I retired the Walther (although I still break it out now and then) and now carry a Kahr MK40. About the same size of the PPK but 40cal. In real warm weather i go with a Kel tech P3AT. It's super small and light...slips right into my front pocket.

Ha-Ha- We see them alot up where I live (by Oneida Lake) I came home one night about 3yrs ago and found one hanging, by its front legs, from my bird feeder, shaking the seeds down for his two pals on the ground down below It was funny stuff!!
