GOOD Deal!!! I've only gotten out once so far, Butternut creek. I only fished about an hour and a half but I got 2 , real small browns and a rock bass????? he was maybe 6" long...... Fought good!!! Thought I had a good trout...but no. Got them all on a white Rooster Tail with a silver blade...

That is plain dumb-A$$. I had a guy shoot my goose decoys once, while I was in a blind not 20yrds away. He came from behind me and to my left. This stuff happens....Dumb A$$!!!

People are such A-holes. Over the years I cant remember the number of treestands, blinds, decoys and trail cams I've come across out in the woods. The thought of stealing one never even entered my mind. Dirt bags!!

Lawdwaz... same here. Over the years I've had to take alot of shots righty. A thumbhole would have made it alot harder. .....Something to think about. I'm not sure if thumbholes are anymore accurate anyhow.

I own a Rem. 700 and a Ruger M-77. (not in .243) but both are great rifles. Bolts are the way too go , IMHO. Go check out a few different ones and get the one that feels the best when you shoulder it.

Yeah i have 2 little girls one 12 and one just turned 16. The 16 year old just started "dating" a kid who just rubs me the wrong way. He's polite and respectful enough but its just something.You know how it is when you've been around for a while. About a month ago I had to set him streight on something and the next day he gave my girl the "lets just be friends" thing. which was cool with me, but now they're back on. Im not too worried because they dont drive yet and he knows Im watching him. One thing thats fun....when he's over I let him catch me staring at him then I look away real fast.

I got an 835 ulti-mag...must be close to 20yrs ago. This is an awsome turkey gun. I've taken a ton of birds with it. Mine is'nt the combo, just the turkey set up. Woodland camo, synthetic stock. It patterned great right out of the box but after a few years I put a tru-glo extra full choke in it and its even a little better. If you go with 3-1/2 inch shells (which is what I use) Pay attention to the box. The original loading (and best patterning) loads were 2-1/4 oz. of shot. Most loads now are only 2oz. which is the same amount of shot thats in 3" loads.You can still find the 2-1/4's but thay're not as common as the 2's. I think most guys just see the 3-1/2 inch on the box and grab them not knowing the 2-1/4 vs. 2 oz. thing. A 3-1/2", 2-1/4 oz. load of #5 is devastating on Toms out past 40yrds.. You got a good deal on a great gun... Good luck.
