  1. Yup…."Mohawk" ...thats it…one of the farmers, who owns one of the properties I hunt has an old Remington shotgun. I took a couple shots with it years ago, and remember that the model name had the word Hawk in it. The gun had high gloss wood and nice shinny bluing tho... Partial credit….LOL!!
  2. They're good….May be a bit sour but OK to eat. The old timer, I use to hunt with, had a row of crab apple trees on his property. every once in a while he would make apple pie with them. not bad at all. Just a pain to peel and slice those little things.
  3. Is the 11-48 the same as the 48 Hawk eye?? Seems to me that I have seen 48 "Hawk eye" somewhere….
  4. 2 Blade Rage have worked pretty good so far, But there are sooooo many good ones out there.
  5. Best big buck lure I have ever used is ME..not in my stand…try it….
  6. Finally found one at a good price. I have wanted one in 22 mag. for a long time but they have been hard to find and way too much $$$. Anyone else have one?? It shoots awesome
  7. I think it could have been ugly. Its soft lead but, sitting sideways like that, its still way bigger than the diameter meant to go down a 20 ga. barrel
  8. Yeah…..the top of the shell was a little deformed, since the slug was seated sideways, but some numb nuts might try to force it in if it didn't go smoothly.
  9. Was in the local GM yesterday, and I noticed 2 guys were laughing about a box of Remington 20g sluggers that one of them had taken off the shelf. One of the 5 slugs was loaded into the hull sideways!!!! Really?? What would have happened if someone fired this slug? Come on Remington.

    gun show

I have heard from guys who go to the Syracuse gun show, that people at the show were trying to sell bricks of 22LR for $80-$100.
  11. Take off the scope and try the iron sights at 50yds. See if you get a similar pattern.
  12. Bow hunting I always use a climber. I like being up and out of sight/smell of deer (although I still get busted sometimes) During gun I mix in ladder stands and ground blinds. The blinds I use, I make myself out of brush, pine bows..etc. I would say use what you're most comfortable with.
  13. Congrats!!! Great news!!
  14. In the past I have gotten some killer deals, from Sportsman's guide. But you do have to watch the shipping fees. It might just make it a wash.

    stolen guns

It takes the same caliber of scum bag to break into someones home and steal their belonging as it does to commit ANY other crime. The minimum sentence for residential burglary should be 25 years. They are scum who usually get relatively light sentences and offend over and over. I guarantee the scum who stole your things are repeat offenders. Good luck.
  17. Copper from the bullet jackets. Its a good thing.
  18. Nicely done JimMac!!! and with a bare bones rifle too. I shot a stock Mosin years ago and it was surprisingly accurate.
  19. Nope…I cleaned the bore, with copper solvent and a nylon brush, before I put it up, 5 years ago, and I run a rag through the bore of all my stored guns, about every 2 months.
  20. In the video it seems like they are both trying to find reasons to like it. But in reality, I bet they are both thinking "Wow this tastes like $hit" LOL!!
  21. He looks like a Eugene…Try it.
  22. Still stumped…..The ammo was well stored. I might buy a new box of core Lokt just to see.
  23. Excellent deal!! congrats!! My brother in law and his father hunt with the 220. They get rifle groups at 200 yards with the Hornady SST's. They haven't taken deer at that range but it's doable.
  24. Over the years me and my hunting buddies have shot several coyotes, because they are a problem, where we hunt. We leave them lay. NOTHING has ever touched a single one of them….EVER. Guarantee that this Rinella guy will never have a freezer full of good old coyote steaks.
