Im packing up to move my daughter into school right now. The trunk of my wife's car is jammed and the back of my truck is almost full. Seems like way too much stuff to me. I just counted 14 pairs of shoes 14!! Now way thats normal. Thankfully we only have to go up 2 floors.

Too many good ones out there. But if it helps, I have a Nikon Pro Staff 2-7 x 32 on mine. Been on there for years now and it seems to be a perfect fit for a ML. But Im sure I could be convinced that there is something better out there. Good luck…LOL!

Filthy smelly street rat.

And in this case, and cases like it, you don't hear a peep from the cowardly little cop bashers…Go figure X2

I can't take my girlfriend hunting. My wife still won't let me date.

I say buck rub…the two heavy rakes in the middle look like they were made by big brow tines. Not sure if a bear would just leave the two cuts with its whole claw. The small branch in the photo to the left looks like a buck raked it as he was working the trunk.

I dont squirrel hunt anymore but the trees in my area are loaded. I have a hickory in my yard and the ground is just littered with nuts and chewed up hulls. Like you said, sometimes it sounds like a light rain, with the squirrels chewing away up high, and the little pieces falling through the branches.. I have lived here 15 years and have never seen such a good crop.

Sounds like your pretty well set. I would add at least a dozen decoys and a decent call.

The friend who told you that the .308 isn't a good deer round, is very very wrong. I can't imagine anyone who has the slightest bit of gun/hunting knowledge, saying that. Your .308 is a fine deer round and its also more than enough for bigger game like Black bear, Elk, Caribou etc...if you're itching to just get a new rifle in a different caliber, then any of the popular deer rounds are great. .243 Win, 7mm-08 Rem, 270 Win, 30-06 Springfield, 25-06 Rem, and there are a bunch more. I would say that the most popular are probably .308, .270 and 30-06 in bolt guns and 30-30 and 35 Rem in lever guns. My two favorites are 7mm-08 and 30-06.

60 year old 20 gauge slug gun still gets the job done.

My late old timer hunting buddy used a shinny old Ithaca 37, plain bird barrel fixed mod. choke. He took tons of gobblers with it.. He covered the gun with cheap, and I mean cheap plasticey camo tape that he left on the gun for years. When he finally took off the tape it wasn't that shinny any more, but it still worked. He replaced the the old, peeling off camo tape, with green duct tape and added a little black electrical tape to "break up the pattern". He took several more Toms with that gun. LOL! He passed a few years back at age 85. His son took off all that tape, with the hopes of refinishing the gun, but after seeing what was under the tape…he just bought new camo tape and re wrapped it…..LOL!! -
I have some old Winchester 30-06 and 300 Savage boxes. No price tags on them, but by the look of the box designs, I would guess maybe 4 or 5 bucks. They have to be from the 50's

Over the years I have had 3 Chevys, 1 GM, 2 Dodge, and 2 Fords. All half tons and all 4x4's. I currently have a 2008 Nissan Titan 4x4 that I bought new in 08. It is by far the best truck I have ever owned. Zero real problems until a little over 80k, then I had to do front wheel bearings. Tie rod ends at about 90k. I have 110k now and it runs and drives perfect. I am good about maintenance though. Synthetic oil every 6k,,,transmission service every 25-30k. If my Titan had a jock,….. Chevy, GM, Ford or Dodge couldn't hold it...

When that matte finish 870 first came out I liked it. I liked the idea of a non glare finish. I bought one, back in the late 80's early 90's and duck hunted the hell out of it. Now I think that finish in an abomination!! LOL!! I think I have just seen too many of them. -
Damn!!! I would settle for that drip pan right about now!! LOL!

I had an old Marlin 336 SC in 35 Rem. It had the same style, old school leather sling on it. I sold it about 30 years ago and put the money towards my first bolt action. Wish I stall had that Marlin..
