  2. Having a problem getting this info out so I kind of hijacked this one, there are meetings going on throughout the state concerning the state land purchases in the adirondacks, they spent a lot of our money to make these purchases and now are trying to lock us out the sportsmen & women have to get involved we can not sit back and let someone else do it,Google Boreas Pond and go to the links I can't seem to post the links here Good article on Boreas Ponds and related issues, raises the point that connectivity between other parcels in the park is a major factor in the impact of classification. Multiway interview.
  3. Tried to post the meetings for the Boreas pond public hearings, did not work

  7. I had lymes quite a while back, was tested and came back negative.Went to westchester hospital and was put in a lymes study and was treated with tetracycline that was what they used back then, all the problems subsided but never really are gone...Sorry for the double post
  8. I think this ban on burning has a lot to do with it,,no controlled burns any more,I would bet that in those parts of california that had all those brush fires there aren't any more ticks,,whenever you are feeling down in the dumps, have aches and pains, there is a good chance you may have come down with lymes.Go to the Doc and tell them that you want a lymes test
  9. The last time I was there there was a guy rolling them in the public market, bought a couple not bad
  10. How about those DeNobli's,they will put hair on your chest
  11. FYI,Just make sure that you use food grade diatomaceous earth, gets rid of ants and other crawly critters, some people take it internally, good for getting rid of intestinal parasites, google food grade diatomaceous earth you will be surprised at all the uses, keeps chickens healthy use it on pets instead of flea powder
  12. You can't beat the older remington 1100's or the 11/87,also look at the beretta semi autos,I have seen some real clean and underused one's at reasonable prices seasons over shop around, semi's are softer shooting than the pumps or over and unders
  13. Try buying ammo in conn.if your from NY,make sure that you have your ammo purchasing permit that will cost you $30.00,the money that you save is burned up in fee's & shipping. Some of you are pathetic complaining about how some companies will not send ammo in to NY and call them anti's just go to a local shop and get all you want and thanks for coming out and voting last governor's election

I support the PF & DU,also the push for doves,I meant getting support for the state organization that represent the sportsmen both organized and the unorganized, the New York State Conservation Council, the council works for all the sportsmen in the state no one gets paid other than the secretary that takes care of the office, there are representatives from almost every county & long Island excluding NYC and a few others, they have reps on the [FWMB] Fish & Wildlife Management Board and also on the [CFAB]Conservation Fund Advisory Board this takes money.they have expenses like every one else keeping the door open,go to NYSCC.com and check out the web page and join

Mike is right about the dog walkers,we had a youth hunt coming up this past Saturday and the state stocked pheasants there Friday afternoon ,I went to check it out and there was a woman with her dog,I told her that the dog was hunting and she said she was not hunting but there are big birds flying around, told her her dog was harassing wildlife and running loose, with that she put her dog on a leash, mountain are a big pain in the butt also, think they own the property. They show up with their bikes and dogs and off the leash, off they go riding wherever they please,a problem with the MB on NYC watershed lands also not allowed but they go any way.Time for the so called sportsmen to get off their duff and join and support groups that represent them,we should have had a dove season a long time ago,ask where are the ruffed grouse, where are all the rabbits, why are a small local group showing up at meetings and stopping common sense projects that would benefit every one, because no body from the sporting community attends, one or two people from the local clubs against 25 or more with the emotional and junk science some of our own also buy into it because it sounds good to them,so they support it,join a local club, support the NRA,NYSCC,NYSRPA,dues are only $25.00 or $30.00and get informed there is so much going on in NYS beside gun control
