Tom who did you use may I ask.

photo shop works well

yes you can carry more than one muzzeloader. My question would be why. But to each his own. Doc they have made primitive types in the past. There was one thet the barrel actually rotated. You shot the first shot rotated the barrel from bottom to top to shoot again. I personally think I could reload as quuck as I could do the rotating. There are also side by side rifles, but they are both illegal during the special season.

I lie the 410 or my ruger 10/22.

no disrespect, but it I would stillmake the bet. he may say now that he is stil wanting to hunt, and honestly I hope he does. But when it is time to go to the woods, his phyche may not allow it. As stated, I hope he does. I know getting shot would deter me.

again pretty simple not illegal to sell, illegal to use. If you cant walk by it and leave it on the shelf, then suffer the consequences. If no one bought it, they would not sell it. In alot of areas in nY it is illegal to hunt deer with a rifle, but the stores still sell rifle ammo. Should they stop doing that also? Bubba, I see the point that you are trying to make but thats a bad analogy. Baiting is illegal in all of NY rifle hunting is not. Correct me if I am wrong but crossbow hunting is illegal in NY and its also illegal to sell them here. If what you say is true then why not sell crossbows and if you choose to buy them and use them then you suffer the consequences just like with baiting products. I think if its illegal to feed deer here then stores shouldnt sell the product. There is obviously a detrimental effect of baiting in the eyes of the law so why tempt people to use it. Just stating some facts. anyone can ge ton any website and order it and have it shipped to the door. A lot of peole bait with corn too. Should feed stored not be allowed to sell corn, or farm stores not sell salt blocks? Does that analogy make you feel better? Thanks for the crossbow correction, i wasnt positive but i did think they were totally illegal to buy here in NY. With all do respect Bubba the analogy still does not make sense. Neither does the corn feed analogy. I will explain below. For the record I am against baiting, even when I watch bear hunting on TV where its legal I always say i could never do that. Cmere deer and other similiar products all serve one purpose, baiting deer and thats why i think it shouldnt be sold in a state that does not allow it. Corn, apples and things like that all serve an alternative purpose or purpses such as feeding livestock or human consumption in the case of apples at a grocery store so making them illegal obviously makes no sense. My opinion is that they shouldnt sell the stuff here in NY. its just an opinion and you know what they say about opinions. We all have one and they all stink have you ever tried cmere deer soup? it is quite tasty with onions and potatoes. I am very much against baiting also. Unfortunately not everyone feels that way. So as I said they will use corn or whatever to bait. Look at cabelas or any other such site. They sell it all on there. If a person wants it bad enough, they can order it. If I were a merchant and I knew peolel will buy, and I do it legally, oh well. Whether it is in front of them, at the feed store, or online, if people want to break the law they will. However if people choose not to break the law, whether it is in front of then in the feed store, or online, people will not buy it. It is a choice. We can only protect people from themselves just so much.

the seasons here are different now. Ours opens earlier closes earlier. I bow hunt as well as ml and rifle, which I use a ml for anyway. It may not be selfish, but you want it better for you. You can define it. our 400 acre piece is hunted by 8 people. If you hunt public land, you have to expect there will be people there. In other words make your hunting scenario better for you. I hunted state land for years. We hunted the places others did not go. We went into the swamp and waited for the deer as well as make drives. There were times I was in water above my ankles to be on watch. But , if we wanted to see deer we did it and were quite successful. You cant expect someone to wave a magic wand and make your hunting all better. That is up to you to do. Last season, I saw one deer all season. I didnt expect the state to fix it for me, I went in and bought some good land, where there is less pressure and more deer. The choices are yours. And I will be 52 on Wednesday. This year I shot a very nice 190 pound 8 point. This was the first deer that was ever brought out of the woods by anything but man power. I drug the deer about 400 yards to get it to the 4wheeler trail. The guys i hunt with thoought I was nuts. You want my personal opinion. Most hunters today are spoiled. You see less deer, you want a legislative fix. Oh well it is part of hunting. If the majority of guys on here saw one deer all season, they would whine and carry on, or threaten to not hunt anymore. Suck it up mak eit better for you for next year yourself.

so take saturday off. I honestly do not see how going back to monday will get less deer killed and save the devastated herd, which was what the thread is about.

I love it when man thinks he is smarter than nature.
-
another it is all about me plan. Never mind the guys who work all week.

Hey there are several things that can be used to bait deer. I am sure more umm un marketed things are used than the ones marketed just for deer bait.
-
oh I know. Tjey are devastating. But as I sai dI would bet a slug form a 20 gauge or 12 or a rifle bullet would do as much damage.
-
the bottom line is if somene wants to bait and be illegal, they will be. No need blaming a store for selling things that people will buy. They can get corn grain or a salt block just as easy.
-
if people cant walk by it without buying it, they will order it online. Is it up to the store to protect the buyer from making stupid choices? Like I sai dif there wasnt a market, no one would be selling it.

th emost common woeght fo rthe 270 is 130 grain. Get a box of remington corelokt 130 grain and sight her in. The savages are very accurate rifles. You cant beat a 130 in them

Umm just as an fyi, I hunt a 400 yard parcel that os part of a farm. Not allof the nz is the dacks. I live in the middle of the dt lawrence valley and it is all agriculture. I know what hunting farms is all about. I dont have the luxury or tracking deer for hours or mile seither. Not allof the nz if public access. Before you make judgements on how it is so different where I am come hunt where I am
-
wny nice doe. Maybe we can still deal.

I guess you missed my point. The population has to be over carrying capacity, or we would no tbe allowed to hunt them. The powers to be are not going to raise numbers when numbers are already over carrying capacity. I gues like I said hunt harder and hunt smarter. isn't it a little selfish to say you guys can only hunt certain times so the deer are more likely to be at ease when I get around to hunting?
