  1. Was in Wally World the other day getting some groceries. The guy in front of me had 3 carts full of food that came to over $400. Paid for it all with food stamps or card or whatever the heck they have now. And here I am working 40hr week and The wife working 32 hrs a week and could barely scrape together $50 to get the essentials. That is where the problem is. My grandmother needs welfare not able bodied people. I would work at MC Donalds before I would get assistance from the gov. I looked up the teachers in my area and dont see where they have any room to complain. Tho I find it funny I have never had a day of college and make almost as much as they do doing less and the PE teacher makes 6 grand more a yr than my Daughters 3rd grade teacher. The super is way over paid to!!! Give him a pay cut and I bet we wouldnt have these stupid votes to buy buses anymore.
  2. I find it interesting that from the town of Kirkwood and Conklin with 56 sq miles of land only 268 deer total were taken. I guess the population is getting smaller than I thought.
  3. Anyone see then make a gatlin gun out of 3 sagia 12 gauges the other day on Sons of Guns?
  4. Here ya go http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/2011deerrpt.pdf
  5. Oh geez here we go, a story is going to come out how he shot it off a ski lift with a crossbow during bow season less than 500 ft from a building over a salt block 1 minute after sundown. Dang that is a sweet deer, love all drops. Makes you wonder how he made it throught the woods?
  6. Should buy through Dicks sporting goods. I got a 2 yr warranty through them for 20 bucks more. They said if it ever stops working just call the number on the receipt and they will send you a card for a new one.
  7. NY is wierd anyhow. Most states have minimum BO requirements.NY does not. NY still requires back tags while all but one other state do not. Cross bows are allowed in bow season in just about every state except NY. Anyone else have any more to add?
  8. Interseting article from Charles Alsheimer on his fight with the disease. He claims to have gotten it from a black fly bite. http://charliealsheimer.com/ca/articles/art_lyme.html
  9. Wow those are unbeleivable pics. What camera?
  10. Looks like even Otsi the Ice man couldnt get away from it either. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/02/29/iceman-mummy-may-hold-earliest-evidence-lyme-disease/?intcmp=features
  11. Unfortunately no one makes one that has a wide trigger area, quick trigger, and clear pics all for a good price. The cheaper ones skimp on some things. My prowler xt IR is so, so with speed, it says 4 second trigger but I have caught birds on it. Now whether or not a whole flock flew through and I just caught the last bird I dont know. The day pics on 8mp are ok but I couldnt beleive how nice the night time pics come out for black and white. And you can change that from low, medium and high MP to.
  12. Yeah, it kind of makes sense if you look at the good chart 1st on the link. I find it intresting that there were 6 people shot wearing BO mistaken for game. That seems a little suspicious to me.
  13. Thank's, I think it was more of a fluke than anything. I usually only find one shed a yr and to find 3 in one day is unheard of for me. I do have a theory though, that my daughter is a shed hunting good luck charm. I had to pospone my PA shed trip due to snow last week and have it set up for this weekend. Though we are suppose to get 2-4 inches tonight again. But it is suppose to be close to 50 on Thu and Fri so hopefully it will be gone by Sat.
  14. Been out lately Wooly? My shed hunt last weekend was a bust, as I got blown out of the woods by a blizzard.
  15. Found this. http://www.trailcampro.com/stealthcami590review.aspx
  16. Ive read that too. Plus there wicked expensive for what you get.

  18. Tree huggers don't care if there are any animals there or not just as long as it looks pretty.
  19. Should check out Stealth cams, I know people give them alot of crap for being slow to reset, but I use mine on trails and it works fine. They make flash cams too for a decent price. http://www.stealthcam.net/HTML/sc_rogue.html
  20. It should be its own country. Its big enough! Ever try to drive across Texas? It takes like 2 days.
  21. Im really suprised no one hasnt walked out there and set it on fire yet. Some of the Dacks are so thick and overgrown and covered in blow downs. There are no roads back there to put out a fire so how are they going to put it out? What we need is a good dry summer and a little lightning to get rid of some of that old growth.
  22. ?????????? Alamo was intentionally left to fall to Santana so the righteous indignation of the american people would be aroused and we could Anex part of Mexico to Texas by force and not get everyone upset with us. See even big business was F'n with people back then to. And I have no idea whether or not Texans can shoot, but I seriously have my doubts about people from Lousiana. I have been on the business end of a few 30 rnd clips being rattled off through the trees around me at a deer. They didnt hit me or the deer so I guess its a good thing they cant shoot.
  23. Funny story about me loathing liver, My wife was working at a local dinner while she was going to school. She called and asked if I wanted anything brought home and I told her no I had just eaten. Well she gets home and has what I thought at the time to be a steak and onions. I said oh that smells really good give me a bite, she said ok and cut me off a huge hunk smothered in onions. Well i put the whole thing in my mouth and went to chewin. Much to my suprise it was calf liver which got spit out across the living room while my wife sat there laughing her butt off. She thinks she's so funny.
  24. Anyone know how many people have been shot and or killed wearing atleast a blaze orange vest in the last ten yrs? Just wondering. I personally wont go in the woods without it, just like I wont drive a car without a seat belt. Its only common sense, Im not to worried about myself shooting someone else not wearing blaze orange. But I sure dont trust anyone else not to shoot me if im not wearing it. Whenever I take my jacket off to clean a deer out I always hang it on an overhanging branch next to me and then put it back on to clean out the deer. Stiil it gives me the willies sometimes and I look around alot to make sure no one is drawing down on me.
