This isn't romaticized back woods deer hunting, this is inner city deer population control. If you dont like it then don't do it. But some people dont mind it. It is what it is. I would rather have that deer shot over my grave ( though there is no proof that happened ) by a bow hunter, than some car run it down or some government sanctioned hit squad bait him and shoot him in the head.

Two things I hate to even smell cooking, Liver and squash. I cant even get a wif of either without dry heaving. My buddy said I was missing out with not eating the heart so I saved one from a fawn I had shot. He cooked it up all nice and pretty and it smelled darn good. Then I tasted it and it tasted just like liver, and I almost hurled. I guess its an aquired taste. I'm sick just thinking about it right now.

I'll take big bussiness over Politicians any day. One gives me money and the other rapes my paycheck every 2 weeks, can you guess which one does what?

Less walking and more looking. If they are laying flat with the tines sticking up they are easy to spot. Unfortunately 99% of the sheds I have found are not. You really have to take your time, concentrate and look. Pick the brush and the woods apart with your eyes. You really have to concentrate, and not let your mind wonder or the shed will just register in your brain as a stick.

That is a crazy looking shed. Nice mass.

I ment there meat smells like urine while its cooking and tastes awefull. I really need to stop typing so early in the morning.

OK 1st two pics are from Sat. Third pic is the one I found today. Not sure what to call it. When I first saw it I just about crapped my pants as it would have been the biggest shed I have ever found. But when I picked it up it was sawed off. Found it laying in the middle of a tall grass field. Lost rattling antler? Mice did a number on it. Searched for 2 hrs for the other half of the 2 point and came up with nothing, no freshies today. Guess its time to start lifting rocks again to find where they are hiding them.

Place is crawling with deer who cares?

Canned hunt or wild? Ive hunted them in LA. and they are pretty easy to hunt. Just find the freshest sign and start following it. Wont be long till you hear them a squeeling and carrying on. Then you just shoot all of them. They have a bad habit of being in the nastiest stuff they can find and are pretty tough so a large caliber is suggested if you are going after the bigger ones. One suggestion I have is before you shoot one lift there leg and check to see if its a bore or a sow. I highly suggest only shooting the sow's to eat. Bores taste like urine.

In the last 100 yrs more atroc. have been committed in the name of Atheism than even Islam. So whats your point. -
Alright I just took tommarrow night off from work so I can spend Tuesday shed hunting. I cant stand knowing all that bone is just laying around out there.

I hope to get out a few days this week for a few hours. I need to find the other half to the 2 point and I know its there. Its just a nasty overgrown apple orchard. I probably walked right by it a few times. But hard to concentrate with the daughter whining about the pricker bushes. Then it will be a mile hike up creek from there to another overgrown orchard that has yielded some finds in the past. Just need the snow to stop. We keep getting these annoying little dustings that are making things hard to see. And I have some really nice pics, but my cell is giving me problems. I will have to get somewhere in the morning where there is better reception and give it another shot.

pulled 2 deer ticks off myself and my daughter after a 4 hr jaunt in the woods looking for sheds Sat. Going to be a bad yr.
-
Finally Im on the board. Found a matching set to a 2.5 yr old 8 point. and a small 2 point side yesterday while shed hunting with my daughter. I found the 1st 4 point side and then did a search of the rest of the area looking for the match. Didnt find it so we went for a long walk down the trails looking and found the small 2 point side. We ended up back where I found the 4 point. I stopped where I found the one side and holy crap there is the other side laying right where I found the other half. Amazing how well they can hide and makes me wonder how many I have walked past. Pic will come soon.

What " Christian bible before " are you refering to? The codex Sinaiticus was written 1600 yrs ago in greek and is basically the same translation used today with very little deviation found. And most deviations are names of places where things happend or peoples names. And what are your sources for there being rewrites? Names? http://en.wikipedia....odex_Sinaiticus And no matter what anyone say's the Allah of the Koran and the God of the bible are in now way related. There are huge theological divides between both. one is, Allah makes you work for your place in heaven and even then there is no promise youll get there, except through Martyrdom. Also Muslims beleive Jesus was just a prophet who was made to look dead on the cross but really wasnt. and is not the son of God. -
If you get them close it will do the job, I wouldnt try anything over 30 yrds. There are several videos on youtube of guys using flintlock pistols to kill deer at close ranges. So I would think a 9mm would do the job up close.

Would there be a safety issue with crossbows? A longbow or compound is faceing down range when at full draw. With a crossbow you have to have the bow cocked before you place the arrow on the shelf. I could see some bone head facing the other shooters while placing the arrow on the crossbow instead of down range while doing this.

Wow they were none to kind to Cuddeback. I take it there cams are crap. The new stealth line up looks pretty nice. It will be interesting to see how the new stuff works. -
My buddie carries his Baretta 9mm with him when he gun hunts. While sneaking through the brush one day, movement to his right caught his eye. It was a small 4 point rubbing a tree. He slung his shotgun over his shoulder and popped it 4 times in the ribs at 20 yrds with the 9mm dropping it right there before the deer knew what hit him. He was using hollow points and the bucks insides looked like a grenade went off inside it. But no I would not recomend 9mm for deer.
