  1. very true..........his condition as described would put him in the "under the influence" category.
  2. I see you found a can of cheap beer as well.........keep looking, the dead body of the poor guy who consumed it should be close.
  3. I use an owl hooter, an absolute must have in my book...........just to locate in the morning well before shooting light, just keep in mind, that like any other type of call, you can over do it.
  4. https://www.libertariannews.org/2013/12/18/study-women-hate-men-who-act-like-bitches
  5. I have Dueling Banjos playing on a continuous loop......so far so good.
  6. other than guys with young children, why do you think your spouse gets pissed when you go hunting? if it's a "just because" issue I would have a big problem with it.....my wife spends half the summer at the beach and goes to Broadway shows and concerts throughout the year, things I have zero interest in, but have no problem with her doing them, and I get the same time for hunting with no issue.
  7. I have zero problems going hunting or fishing whenever I want, I don't remember her ever giving me a hard time about it.......makes me wonder.
  8. how many of you felt the need to install sights / scopes to make up for the super tight patterns of the aftermarket tubes?
  9. I personally wouldn't waste money hooking an alarm to an alarm company unless it's reasonably priced, by the time it goes off and through all the channels, the thieves are usually long gone.........if you can find a good one that is audible and extremely loud with lighting features for nighttime, I would go that route.
  10. my daughter went to SUNY ESF in Syracuse, we live on Long Island, about a 5-6 hour drive, she recently moved to Colorado and is doing great. I'm actually happy she moved out of here and so is she........oh, and it's actually cheaper and quicker for us to fly her home to visit every 3-4 months than it was to drive to Syracuse and visit every few months.
  11. some yes, some no..........however, breakable targets are never allowed on any State lands.
  12. I'm no expert, but if it's a short bow, it may have a lot of "finger pinch" and might be uncomfortable to shoot with fingers............I started my kids out with releases.
  13. have they just been killing the deer and leaving them, or do they take them in the other cases?
  14. I've heard that snow cover actually acts as an insulator and allows the ticks to survive the winter.....
  15. seriously, you've got to be kidding? people don't get this worked up when a drunk driver kills someone.............I'll pass on this one.
  16. you would think Florida would be at the top, but they aren't because they have zero snowfall and the weather is very inviting............when I leave this state it certainly won't be to find better deer hunting.
  17. unless you wan't to keep this place quiet. http://www.stargazette.com/story/news/local/2015/04/01/top-state-parks-usa/70781988/
  18. honestly, if you're looking to get some natural food that you can harvest at a decent price, take up fishing during the spring and summer....most of the animals that I consider worthy of eating can only be hunted in the winter and fall, except turkey...either way, have fun at whatever you decide to do.
  19. I only have my compound, I no longer shoot recurve, and haven't the need to get a crossbow (yet)..........but in my opinion a recurve / instinctive shooting is best for that type hunting.
  20. Benelli Super Vinci...........now to decide on 3" or 3.5".
  21. might as well take em all if it ever came down to that.
  22. I wouldn't doubt that the courts go more lenient on hardship cases as opposed to the guy killing to chop the antlers off or just as an easy way to fill his tag.....
  23. shooting that close to a house with people around? no, not at all...putting other people in danger only makes it worse.
  24. I don't think turkey are aware of what other animals or birds live in the area, especially if they're answering peacock calls.........I've always had the best results with an owl hooter.
