    ^ Jimmy, I agree with you! We all need to stick together and FARGIN understand that State land is first come first served. I know I've had to sleep in my car many times to get the spot I wanted !!!!!!

    I bought one last year at a gun show paid 375 with an old Simmon's scope. I would try 400 first and then slowly go up. My 2 cents.

    CBX, I've had the same experience, with stolen cameras. I lost 4 in one night. I thought I'd be slick and put them in at dusk so no one would see them. I went the next day and all where gone. I followed the foot prints to the road. There were two of them. Called DEC and the cops to have it legal. They found them on ebay 2 years later, was one of the neighbors who let me park my car in their driveway. It sux no matter who did the job.

    Welcome aboard. Get a comfortable chair or stand, which will help you sit longer. Do Not sit on the ground a wet/cold butt makes you want to walk or move around.

    John, thank your lucky stars that all are safe and sound! I'm in the middle of car problems as week, had to rent a Didge Dakota (Wichita I fell in love with). Good luck with your car.

    ^ what he said. I am also a queens boy moved to Nassau. Once you contact DEC region one, they will set you up with the permit and maps. The rest is footwork a lot of time in the woods and a ton of luck . I hope it works out for you
