    All ready here too. Got the ok to pop the tent up on the property tomorow nite. Just easier for me to camp there then drive back an forth. Hoping to roost one tomorow nite and hunt hard til noon!

    Just made the call.....camping in a tent on my father in laws property. Only reasonable way to ne able to try and roost a bird and hunt!

    I take a jake with me but normally a hen or two does the trick. Sometimes i dont use any at all

    Cherokee sports inflatables. I normally carry a feeding hen and a jake with me. Position the jake behind the hen....it can sometimes upset a gobbler

    I cleared out some shooting lanes and trails the other day. Good thing i did because getting a face full of thorns in the dark wouldve been fun haha! Might go back tonite after work to check for more sign but im pretty sure my setup should be a good one. Now if i can just decide if im using decoys or not.....

    They have been hitting one area hard. Its right next to a pond. I saw all sorts of tracks mostly what appeared to be hen tracks and a few large tracks. Last weekend to scout and make my final decision on where to set up. Going to try and roost a bird on sunday just to see. Then tuesday night i hope to do the same thing in the same general area.

    Ive got a feeding hen and walking hen im going to use. I may throw the jake out but im leary and undecided about it.

    with a bow i always faced them towards the blind. usually with a gun i have them facing away off to my side. takes the attention off me. just wondering what everyone else did.

    i normally set my dekes out about 15 yards or so from my position. my question is do you guys and gals have them facing towards you or away from you or????

    Never thought of chicory but that seems like a viable option. Probably go with turnips and radish as well. What should i plant now or say after turkey season?
