I like to hunt in between the food plot and were the woods start to thin out. I find the path they take I thin that out a little to make it easy for them and to draw their focus to that path. It works well. Thick or not I just find were the deer are and set up shop somewere near by. Early in the year the thick stuff is loud and filled with bugs. But hey if that's what it takes then i'm there. Goodluck. You bow hunting feart?

If a doe walks past your stand on opening day. Smoke em. I will be doing the same if possible. I won't ruin a buck hunt.

1 deer from 100 acres. That's a dam expensive deer lol. Might be overthinking that one. I wouldn't be tagging small bucks but you can tag out in a well maintained 100 acres every year for sure.

Does anyone not use Rage broadeads for a good reason? I hear a lot of people saying they love them and they work flawlessly. But I have also heard bad things about them.

Be serious when saying you have no clues about bait laws. Half the places that sell the salt blocks and what not have signs right there saying it is illegal to feed deer.

If it looks like deer are in the area... Hunt on brother. We have a few stands built at camp that haven't moved in 10+ years but deer get nailed from it almost annually.

I do not personally own my own land yet. I have family that owns land that we hunt, go to on the weekends, work alot at and so on. So I can relate. But with all do respect Grow cause I like a lot of things you say and add on this site. You're kind of reaching here. The original post is a broad question and didn't mention anything about someones personal land being violated at all. My statement still stands. There is a huge difference in someone violating your land vs someone that calls DEC at the sight of a few apples laying somewere or a shot that rings out at a time they dont like. And the " Tattle tale " statement was a toned down version of just calling them other things.

I keep my mouth shut and out of other peoples problems. I don't do the tattle tale thing. There are plenty of people that can't wait to rat someone out for something. Not for me.
