So my son got a $100 gift card from Dicks for Christmas....

I have a 270. and use Winchester 130 grain bullets. Recoil is smooth and there shouldn't be much problem handling it. -

I'm sure it would be a decent rifle. First thing I noted was it doesn't have the accu trigger and some times the trigger is set pretty tough. Cailber choice should always be up to the shooter and their ability to handle and shoot the weapon. I would also go with a bigger cailber at least a 270. I out grew my first rifle after the first 100 shots it felt. My honest opinion is I would look past this deal unless it's the only thing that sticks out to you. They have nice Savage rifles that come with a Nikon buckmaster scope and a accu trigger I think that would make for a more reliable and adjustable rifle with a better overall experience. Good luck with you purchase. -

Wader Recommendations

Im pretty sure the name brand of mine are RedBall. They were pretty cheap so I wasn't sure what to expect from them but they worked great. I used them alot for walking the river to trout fish I have been in the faster parts of salmon river many times over, swamps for finding deer. They have held out great. Have been using them for about 5 years now. -
I really wish I would have grew a few smaller food plots in the thicker stuff gun and late season. I will be doing that next year for sure. And I noticed a few bucks that will be brutes next year and their sticking in the swamp lands so I need a few more stands in that area. Had a great year this year ended up tagging out so I won't complain. But always looking to improve.

22. Rifles for 20 bucks. Now thats gotta be the good times. Cool post. Worth a look over for sure. -
Yea that sucks. I have found a deer that had back legs and straps cut out only. No tag on the deer. And then left. Did the round pass threw the deer? I wonder if it was shot with a rifle or shotgun?

Ruger 10-22 and Bow forsale.
HuntOrBeHunted replied to HuntOrBeHunted's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Lee Center. Near Rome, Ny. -
I have a next to new Ruger 10-22 for sale shot around 70 times I just bought it over the summer and still have the receipt for it. Its pretty much been sitting in the gun case since I have owned it. I also have a Bowtech Diamond Razor Edge forale. It has a QAD rest and Trophy Ridge sight. Nice bow I have killed a few deer with it. I just upgraded this year so no need for it anymore. 150.00 for the 22. 200.00 for the bow. Price is firm both are in great shape and well worth the money. Any info needed send me a PM or what not. Thanks.

Nice. Good job. -
Im in the same boat grow. Deer moving at night some of the smaller bucks I passed on in bow went bye bye. I have some snow coming and the woods have been quiet for a few days so tomorrow maybe I can get lucky.

The guys that ride the season roads smoking cigs drinking beers hoping to see a deer run across the dirt road. Best part is their in full camo lol.

So because someone doesn't agree with your theory their post are " absurd " really? There's no law saying you have to do it so for you to think your way is paved in gold thats pretty " Absurd " if you ask me. This is yet another opinion based thread the laws are clear so the rest doesn't matter. If you shoot someone hunting just have fun rotting in prison. -
One doe tag off from being tagged out. Nice buck.. Doe. Saw a ton of deer all threw bow season it died out fast after that. Hoping late season bow will pay off.
-
I have been looking foward to late bow since about a week into gun lol.

Small hidden winter plot opinions
HuntOrBeHunted replied to DeerSlayers's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Smaller food plots are just as good and they tend to be better in late season I think. Food runs more thin in the cold. If your seeing 8-10 deer a day thats good numbers. Once the guns start ringing the deer move at night a lot more. Growalot would be the guy I would talk to about food plots. I have saw really nice pics he has put up from his plot. Some of the best on here thats for sure. Good luck.
