  1. Ya know guys, when nobodies looking.... Fido's eating the breath mints and drinking blue juice outta the toilet bowl to wash down all that good stuff you just fed him,lol
  2. You guys wash your hunting clothes...? Mine smell like every deer I've killed in close to 10yrs and still stained with their blood, lol I'll get new hunting clothes before I wash these.

    Sick?

Mine started out as a toothache...... ..THEN came the sneezing, coughing, and stuffy head. Most likely the latest super strength virus (H12596-024**) found only in the deep dark jungles of Egypt that found it's way to the states on a coconut. Probably kill it with a double shot of Nyquill, a screwdriver and a turniquett.

Lol- yeah, he just about jumped outta his skin at the shot!

    albino squirrel

I used to pop a lot of squirrels with my bow durring deer season.... not so much anymore. Here's one that jumped the string, or maybe he ducked it....I dunno ... but he got away and I haven't seen him since. I'm guessing he'd be pretty easy to identify, lol
  6. Geeze, that's very unsanitary.... could you imagine if a rat fell in there. They'd have to throw out the whole batch!
  7. That's about where we are right now. That on top of the 6" we already had as a good base layer, and that's about enough for me for the year. It finally stopped this morning and everyone seems to be getting dug out now. I'll never understand what some folks like about this stuff....BLAHHHH! I'll take July's 95 hot and humid over this any day!
  8. C'mon over.... I got enough for everybody! Maybe a few of you could pitch in to get me plowed tonight, lol WELL over a foot since sundown tonight and it's showing no sign of stopping anytime soon. I'm already running outta room to put this crap.
  9. Hey Davey, it works here, lol! That was pretty intense by the sounds of it!
  10. Best day for me came on an early October bow hunt. I finally layed eyes on my #1 target buck(right side of pic)(Frankenties) with a couple of his buddies. I snapped a few pics of them, but they heard my shutter click ending any chance I might have had of them coming into bow range. Only shots fired were from the camera @ 60yds. The buck in the middle turned out to be the set of shed antlers I found December 14'th this year. I also have his antlers from 2 years prior, so this was a monumental encounter for more than one reason for me!
  11. Dang man, congrats on #2 for the year! I think these bucks may be trying to tell us something with these early drops. Keep finding them at this pace and there wont be any left for March, lol
  12. Hey, thanks folks! I spent the morning doing my Christmas shopping, lol. Better late than never I suppose.. The rest of the day is all mine to take a nice long hike through the hills doing what I enjoy most! Thanks again!
  13. Too funny! Just proves it's possible to shoot yourself in the foot without ever touching off a round!
  14. New backpack, boots, and camera gear for me.... ... GPS not included! I think they're trying to tell me to get lost and take a hike, lol!
  15. Quite a few bucks made it through John! That's always good to see this time of year. You're gonna be busy in a few weeks!
  16. Alright WNYB! Looking forward to following along with your shed hunts this year! I really enjoy a good shed journal. You got off to a great start with that early first antler. I can't wait to get a look at the other side and a few of the other horns you got running that farm! Too bad about the young 7pt. Safe to say darn near any bucks you post got some serious potential if they can survive the first few years. Good luck this season!
  17. Always enjoy going through the pics and stories on your site......even if some of the scores are questionable, lol!
  18. Now that's my kinda Christmas present! Great find!

    Finally!

Congrats on #1.... how 'bout some pics?
  20. Hi Ralph! No place like home for the holidays, lol
  21. Oh man, I don't think shed hunting would be much fun if we just walked out back and scooped them up from an antler trap. After sitting in a stand or blind for the last 2 months, it feels good to finally get out and explore some of those areas you wouldn't think of going into with your gun or bow. Check out some of the "bunny cover" in your area and there's a good chance it holds some antlers too. That's about the best "natural antler trap" you'll find! Once those bucks put their heads down, or tip them back to browse, all that nasty, gnarly thicket starts pulling and tugging on them horns untill they eventually pop off. It's not fun stuff to hike through, and it's not easy to spot antlers in there, but it can be pretty rewarding if you put the effort into it. I've found a lot of antlers in stuff so thick I couldn't back up far enough to get an ATL pic of them. That's the best I can help ya while trying to stay on topic. Good luck if ya give it a shot!
  22. Oh man did I ever just give myself a good laugh looking back at some of my old pics! I'll save those for another day,lol This was my first archery kill. Hard to believe that's going on 20yrs now. It's pretty rare to get the ol' man to pose for pics, so this one has always been kinda extra special to me for that reason alone.
  23. I understand and enjoy the site as well, but strictly for entertainment purposes and fun not to solve worldly issues, lol BUT- there are days you couldn't PAY ME to read some of the posts here. It would bother me that I felt I was funding members that heald their posting standards at a different level sometimes. It's good to see the site has some supporters but you can't expect everyone feels as strongly about it as others may. Merry Christmas to all!
  24. I got along just fine before this site and never spent/donated a dime. Never felt the need to "buck up" for anything with so many FREE sites out there with the same content. I think some guys just like to see their username highlighted in BLAZE ORANGE so other members know where they stand on that issue, lol
