  1. Both,lol 6 right fingers, 5 left fingers 5 right toes, 6 left toes
  2. Pickin's are getting slim for me lately. I think it's time to move on. Last few hikes have only turned up a young 1- horned deadhead and a couple 'oldie' young buck skulls. Thought I was back in business today when I saw a small rack in the field. Turned out to be a busted rack. I'll throw it on the pile with his friends and get on with locating some more freshies. Not a shed, but still antler #19.
  3. Decided to take the road to my hiking grounds today. I'm always checking out all the crap folks throw out there windows that ends up along side the road. This time of year it's a real mess. The amount of empty cans is unbelievable. Anyhow, I see a car coming around the bend ahead and notice they tossed some trash on the shoulder a couple hundred yds ahead. I got up there and saw the empty McDonalds bag and some other junk. Then right beside all that was a rolled up lottery ticket. I had to pick it up out of curiosity. All the winning #'s were scratched off and all the players #'s were scratched off....fudge! A quick glance revealed a 29 in the top row and a 29 a few rows down. Alls I had to do was scratch off my prize!!! $40  It doesn't pay to be a litterbug!
  4. Nice- I'd have lost count at 22 when I ran out of fingers and toes! In a way, it's nice to see a population that calls the city limits home. When I lived in South Buffalo that park was my little after work oasis.
  5. 4-0 Sabes seem to have finally gotten their chit together these last few games.

    Climbers

My climber hates poplars. Had it slip twice on me this past fall on 2 different trees. Fortunately the top grabbed when the bottom fell. I have faith in harnesses but I don't think they do to much to soften the blow between a pretty face like mine and the tree trunk, lol. Yeah, I stayed away from poplars the rest of the season.
  7. I'd buy the Buffalo Bills so I could sell them to Toronto!
  8. Dang WNYB, now you're cookin'! Nice set! You keep scooping them up like that and maybe someone will start trying to discredit your finds too, lol! Keep 'em coming!
  9. I like the way wool itches and gets under some folks skin.
  10. Great looking buck and mount! Pretty sweet to have his sheds to go with him! Congrats
  11. Lol- NY'ers sure are a regionaly diverse group the ways we prefer to stuff our faces but you gotta love the simplicity of them Canadiens!
  12. I thought that was a little 12 lb dog.
  13. Another nice addition to the bone pile! Keep piling them on!
  14. Real nice horn, looks heavy! Is he in your hunting area?
  15. Excellent- maybe now the drop will get contageous in your area! They look like they're ready for the Super Bowl sitting there on the couch. Better grab an extra 6pk for them!
  16. Spent a good part of the day picking apart another overgrown field where I've been seeing the bucks lately. I've been through here a few times already and found nothing but it's big enough to give it one more look before checking back closer to spring. Well anyhow, besides my few old antler pieces I've ever found dragged up a tree by the squills, today I came across my first true hanging antler! Sun bleached white and not a tooth mark on it. No idea how old this thing is but it sure aint fresh, lol. A nice 4pt side with another base booger point! #18
  17. It's true.....next time you're at the supermarket take a look how good those lobsters have it in that luxurious aquarium!
  18. Another vote for the heron. I think it all came together in that shot. Also, I never knew herons hunted at night so it's educational as well!
  19. WTG John! It had to be hard to leave the woods after a 4 horn day! Hope you can keep tabs on the kicker buck this summer- he's looking like a good one! Keep it up man, you'll shatter that old record like your arm after a day on the ice, lol!
  20. I upgraded the Moulies to a Primos Blackout 60 and got it hung tonight on a doe trail. If this thing is as invisible to game as it is to me, it may be the only cam I ever hang in my hunting areas. Pics look pretty darn impressive from my preliminary testing. The detection factor is what I'm hoping is equally effective.
  21. Just to add a bit of credability to the boys story.... Your lucky I didn't give ya a noogy, a wedgy, a swirley and a titty twister as well punk! I want my buck back too or else...

    shed hunting?

I'd say all of the above influence antler drop but no one of them is ever a constant, solo determining factor.

    First Salmon

Nice- how many times did he have to shoot that thing, lol Looks like the one that broke my Snoopy pole!
  24. I got into a spot today with so much deer sign I thought for sure I was gonna find at least 5 antlers right from the start but never found a single one. I did find a few dead deer and an old skull but I'm guessing this spot got hit pretty hard already. Here's my little skull from the day. A little further along I found this dead buck with his horns sawed off already. Lots of boot prints in here so I'm probably a little late again. I also cut through an orchard about a mile long. The apples still on the ground was amazing but again not an antler in site. I could have filled a bushel full of these things and made a delicious pie tonight..that's how good a shape they were still in. I'm a little confused after what I didn't find todays hike. Also came across another dead doe. I suppose I'll try again tomorrow!
