  1. First sit of the year. At my uncles prop in 3m. First stand had no chair. Jumped a doe moving to another Stand. Saw 1 doe passing through just now. Just happy to be back in the woods
  2. Go to privAcy setting and give tapatalk access to your photos
  3. Everyone pays for their license (I think)..if you want one shoot it. Some people can't hunt 40 days a year and just wait for a deer that's a certain age or certain weight. But this definitely isn't as ridiculous as last years "do you hang your deer by the legs or head" thread
  4. Im in the same place as you. I love and hate this thread lol I love seeing what everyones doing out there but its torture to me at the same time.
  5. It says you can use the bow/muzzleloader antlerless during bow regular season
  6. I have to defend it all the time. And its usually to someone who is giving me sh*t while they slop down a ham or chicken sandwich, as if the animal they are eaten committed suicide so they could have lunch
  7. Sooo. Got the bow back Sunday. It cost me $130 combined for the parts and to fix and tune it. Looks like Its shooting pretty good. 20 yards on the left/30 on right. Still have 10 days to keep shooting before I hunt so I should be ok
  8. I started following my father around when I was 8. Turkey hunting when I was 12 and deer when I was 17. I don't think I saw my first deer for 2 years. This kid had a shot 3 minutes in
  9. You are talking about a 15 year old and an 18 year old... I can't say I didn't make mistakes when I was their age considering Im 31 and still probably make plenty of mistakes (including accidentally dry firing my bow 2 weeks ago and watching it explode in my hand) They are going to go out, probably miss and realize they need to practice more and hopefully they will. If I see a young hunter I try to encourage them to get out as much as possible...we need more hunters not less,
  10. I have rage hypodermics and they've never opened in my quiver.
  11. Brassica is mix of rape, kale and turnip. dont know what kind tho. I put a trail cam out so I'll see if anything is using the plot early on. If not I will leave it alone until it gets cold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. https://vimeo.com/106830711 I was up at the house this weekend. So the brassica looks great, clover looks ok. Brassica doesn't look like it's been touched much. That's normal right? They go for that once the weather gets colder? Or is there just too much food still around Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here's the progress. Looks pretty good I think. Hopefully the clover looks better when it grows back attachment=25573:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410879640.019312.jpg] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Not a bad idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. No I definitely own it. I just never bought climbing sticks or ladder sections before. If that's going to cost me $100+ then I could just get a new stand, no? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Question. I have an old climber that I don't use that I am thinking of just leaving up in a tree like a hangon. Has anyone ever done this, and would it be cheaper to do this and buy climbing steps or just buy a ladder stand? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I usually do that. Have to be more careful, obviously. I'm not going to say I'm glad it happened but it's definitely a good lesson learned. When I brought the bow in it was still intact and my bow guy took it from me right away and said it's a tiny crack in a rivet away from exploding, and that the wheel could have flown off and killed someone. I honestly didn't know it could hurt someone like that so I'll be treating my bow the same type of safety I treat a gun from now on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Lol. I'm hoping I get it back with a few weeks left to shoot before season. I'm not hunting until second week of October Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ok. So. No cracks in the limbs. Just some screws and a rivet that popped, and a few scratches. Looks like the string is good. It's going to cost me 100-150. Much better than I expected. I'm praying he doesn't see anything else wrong with it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Going to the shop right now. I'm so friggin pissed..I was so comfortable shooting that bow. I'll see what it will run to fix it compared to new Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It's a bear carnage. well it was. I don't know what I'm going to look at. It's beyond repair I'm assuming? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Had to put on a new kisser button. Drew my bow to see if it was right and I used my release. Must have touched the release... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. http://www.racembac.com/ Broadheads with a bullet attached?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
